Used to be liberals would be jumping straight legged at the first whiff of censorship *especially* when it comes to political speech. They went as far as making flag burning an act of political speech.

For one thing, labeling a political POV as ‘disputed’ is absurd on its face. Democracy is impossible without *disputing* things. In fact, that’s the whole point of political discourse and Big Tech wants to control it. It defeats the whole purpose. They should either stop with political censorship or have their Section 230 privileges revoked.

It used to be liberals were suspicious of the FBI and the IC more generally. Now they are suspicious of people that are suspicious of them.

What happened? Not to finger him particularly but this changed happened under Obama. Was it part of the fundamental transformation?

Section 230 is clearly being abused by Big Tech. They practice outright censorship to the extent the ChiComs are envious. Big Tech owns the proverbial blackboard. According to Section 230 they aren’t liable for what anyone writes on the board. As well it should be.

But when they start censoring political speech they disagree with or *literally* protecting presidential candidates then they should give up their Section 230 privileges.

THAT alone, should be voted on by congress irrespective of anything else. But this is a good, clean, bill that helps people out and gets two other things done. Neither of which, House Democrats should have a problem with.

Hey, I'm good with that. Strip out those measures and make them stand alone bills. Put it to both houses for an up or down vote.

I don't think Democrats are going to support any measure which prevents Twitter from attaching a message on Trump's bogus tweets that what he is claiming is disputed.

And btw, that is not censorship.

So, the House of Representatives, IMPEACHED HIM. However, it needed Senate Approval, But the Senate Leader Mitch McConnell, a REPUBLICAN, and every one of the REPUBLICAN Senators, refused to remove TRUMP from office.

WHAT IS FUCKING WRONG WITH THIS PICTURE?

There has been a separate bill since May. And this one is also separate. It is a covid relief bill, it contains nothing else. No aid for foreign governments, no money for the arts. You are utterly confused. Now Mitch wants to coddle Donald by adding a poison pill to a simple one line change to increase the stimulus. You must be so proud.

If these bills were all separate, why was there only one vote on the whole damn thing?
 
I guess "slick" is a good word for it. "Craven" and "manipulating" would also work. Also "despicable."

Hope the voters are taking notes this whole time.
