IMO the upper level D's are scared shitless that enuff evidence will come out so that in the end the election still has a possibility of being overturned. Since it is being conducted by the senate and the sitting President has nothing to do with it " because an unlawful POTUS actions would be null",..a guilty verdict would stand , thus making the possibility of the true and rightful POTUS returning to the Whitehouse,... null and void. Dont tell me this is about 2024....THATS BULLSHIT. That is an eternity in politics. The impeachment sham in NO WAY is about 24,....it is about RIGHT FRIKKIN NOW.

The trial is about President Trump inciting a riot to violent attack Congress. Punishment is preventing Trump from ever holding public office.

Impeachment manager Stacey Plaskett noted that the January 6 insurrection was preceded by other acts of violence carried out by Donald Trump’s supporters.

Among other examples, Plaskett recalled how a group of Trump supporters tried to drive a bus carrying Joe Biden campaign staffers off the road in Texas days before the presidential election.

“If you look at these events, it’s clear how we get here,” Plaskett said.

It’s worth noting that after the Texas incident happened, some Republicans celebrated the caravan. Senator Marco Rubio said the day after the incident, “We love what they did.”

My HS in Massachusetts did not teach civics- they taught "social studies". They never discussed the Constitution once. I had to learn later, by simply reading it, along with The Federalist. Very little of what Democrats do is Constitutional. If you had understood the document than you would know that.

It's not difficult language to understand. Trump isn't in office, which is why the Chief Justice refused to participate. If this was a serious case, then this avenue shown in bold below would be pursued:

Judgment in Cases of Impeachment shall not extend further than to removal from Office, and disqualification to hold and enjoy any Office of honor, Trust or Profit under the United States: but the Party convicted shall nevertheless be liable and subject to Indictment, Trial, Judgment and Punishment, according to Law.

Trump was impeached while in office. The Constitution does not say the trial has to be while the president is in office.

Dude,.... people like you make me fucking sick. We ALL KNOW that no matter what evidence was presented it would make no difference to you. NONE. It could be indisputable,....would not matter to you one little bit. You would simply parrot the company line........ cleanest and fairest election in history. Because that is exactly who you are.
