After WWII, three arrogant mooks met and decided how the world would be divided up (yeah, fuck those asians and africans and the like...we have to save their countries from their backwards cultures).
As the years quickly rolled past, you have lines drawn, new weapons built and a lot of "clandestine" crap going on.
Each year since then, more and more countries got "the bomb", the "insignificant" countries gained independence, people rebelled against monarchy, oligarchy, colonialist leftovers and imperialist dictates, and the "cold war" just shifted to a different mode. Communism is a oppressive joke, socialism and capitalism keep slapping at each other. Theocracy goes from oppression to monetary manipulation. Tribalism, racism, sexism, caste edicts ... SOS, different day.
I say fuck it! Let NATO and Russia and China and anyone else who has "the bomb" just have at it. Then all those assholes can climb out of their fancy bunkers in a few years and talk all the BS they want, pointing fingers as they slowly die in a world they poisoned.
I say this because by the time sane, rational folk take Ghandi's and King's lessons BY UNIFYING AND JUST NOT COOPERATING WITH THE STATUS QUO, it'll be too late.
Hope springs eternal, but in reality hope is that bad stuff doesn't happen in one's lifetime, and those with kids will die seeing things getting better.
