The Shaping Operations in Ukraine

The Ukrainian offensive has not begun, just shaping operations in advance of the offensive. We know the actual offensive should happen in the next week or so.

So far shaping operations include reversing 3 months of Russian slow advances in 24 hours, and destroying Russian logistic hubs deep inside Russia. In response, Russia fired all their stockpile of hypersonic missiles, with for the first time some of them being shot down. Now Russia will have to wait a few weeks for more hypersonic missiles.

We will see if it is a huge victory, or just a sad nothing, like the Russian offensive. Right now, it looks good.

Ukraine better repulse the Invaders before the possibility of Trump being president again comes to pass, because Trump will take Putin's side.

Ukraine doesn’t have the numbers of capable personnel or equipment to continue much longer while Russia has used less than a tenth of their military assets in Ukraine.

What exactly do you expect Ukraine to do here?

Ukraine has huge number of western trained and armed soldiers rejoining the fight. They are setting up for a major offensive.

What exactly do you expect Ukraine to do here?

Last years offensive captures 3,000 square miles. The shaping operations have already reversed all the gains of the Russian offensive. The Russian logistics have been destroyed.

Ukraine will either capture thousands of square miles of territory, will capture a few square miles of territory, or something in between. I am guessing they will go south, crossing the Dnieper river, cutting off The Crimea, but that is just a guess. The Russians are building trenches across The Crimea, because they are guessing that will happen too.
