The Real Reason the Middle Class Is Dead

They're always wanting to "fix" something. Crisis after crisis. We needed Obamacare because of a health care crisis. Now it looks like we really do. Hurry up and pass it.......now they tell us to relax .......they're deranged.

Alway:awesnome:s meddling. Never helping. Misery minders.

What about the people born in to poverty who move up? Why do leftists look at class?

Harder for Americans to Rise From Lower Rungs

...Americans enjoy less economic mobility than their peers in Canada and much of Western Europe. The mobility gap has been widely discussed in academic circles, but a sour season of mass unemployment and street protests has moved the discussion toward center stage.

Former Senator Rick Santorum of Pennsylvania, a Republican candidate for president, warned this fall that movement “up into the middle income is actually greater, the mobility in Europe, than it is in America.” National Review, a conservative thought leader, wrote that “most Western European and English-speaking nations have higher rates of mobility.” Even Representative Paul D. Ryan, a Wisconsin Republican who argues that overall mobility remains high, recently wrote that “mobility from the very bottom up” is “where the United States lags behind.”

Do you ever read anything? Or do you just let faux news tell you what to think?

Life is hard. That's why America is a dream for the people. Work hard, study, work hard. Etc. Opportunity. We have less opportunity. I agree with Ryan's assessment. Now how do we fix it? Not with more taxes and regulations.

Why do we have less opportunity?

Could it be 30+ years of conservative trickle down and outsourcing for cheap slave labor?

Do your own research. Maybe you'll find the system benefits the monopolistic corporations that rule the right wing for the last 30 years. Maybe not if you rely on Faux news and drudge

Attacking those who produce jobs that people need doesn't really help your position.

Stupidity is a luxury and you will find time and time and time again that those who are overwhelmingly on the left can afford to be. Evan Sayet

It could be but its more likely that 40 years of declining education has rendered our labor force incapable of staying up with modern mamufactuure. Toss in that they have been led to believe by the left that they are due higher wages than they qualify for and that there is nothing wrong with calling in sick for the stsrt of deer season or being hung over on fridays and mondays...
All too often America cant compete because its fat dumb and lazy.
But feel free to blame the only people doing any good at all and tolerating DCs hurtful policies.

Paying people a wage that they can't live on is not producing anything except poverty and welfare recipients!
Once upon a time it used to motivate people to make themselves more valuable to employers or create their own enterprises.
But then unions came and rewarded mediocrity. Government regulated business so that only their cronies profited most and parents decided their hedonism was more important than their children.
Interestingly enough immigrants who still believe as we once did come here and see the land of opportunity it still is and thrive on the same spirit we had before.

People are not supposed to live on min wage. Whatever gave you that idea? Min wage is for those entering the work force. You really have nothing but sound bite propaganda.
