What loser team is playing tonight?
Neither do I.
At least one commenter on CNN mentioned the issue behind the protest while I watched last night. Let's not lose sight of that while Trump and friends make their racket. I'd ask the anthemites if they care about the issue, but I'm not sure they'd know what it was even about. All they can do is focus on waving flags and placing a hand over their heart for a song while telling themselves it's the pinnacle of patriotism. It's a ceremony that should be saved for government use only. It's not worth driving a country apart. How can we get through to Trump and friends? Thick as bricks they be.

Veteran Army Ranger Alejandro Villanueva was the only Steeler with enough balls and honor to leave the tunnel and show his pride in our country.

On the one hand, I don't need to have the anthem played at my sporting events. If it is going to be played, however, I don't need to see the anti-America crowd taking advantage of the situation to make a scene.
Wanting trigger happy cops to face justice is anti american? Come on.
Giving the flag and the anthem the finger is something I find annoying. Now, if people actually have something to say, besides that, they can have rallies, make speeches, appear on TV and radio, write articles and books, participate in parades, engage in a lecture series, etc. I would just prefer that they not give America the finger.
The connection is simple. The anthem represents the country and government by extension, so protesting the government allowing cops to get away with injustice by abstaining from celebrating said government is reasonable and logical. You're not supposed to like it and it's meant to light the fire under the seat of government to make their citizens less annoyed by these type things.

Since our tax dollars fund this government of, by & for the people and we also fund our military therefore also partially fund the NFL who signs the checks for these jocks...I'd say some displays patriotism is more than appropriate.
