The National Debt.

I saw on the news recently talk about raising the level of money the U.S. can borrow. I see that people in this section provide links. Though I won't do so. You all know what I'm talking about. So what's the point. As you all know, the republicans are dragging their feet on the issue because they want spending cuts. Are they kidding?!!! Our national debt is around 31 trillion dollars. They could cut government spending to zero and it would NEVER do more than just scratch the surface. Part of the reason is the trade deficit. I have heard that our yearly trade deficit with China alone ranges anywhere from 300 billion to over 700 billion dollars. It depends on which factors of the cost to the U.S. you would like to take into consideration. Also, back when our national debt was "only" around 19 trillion dollars, each year the U.S. HAD to pay around 420 billion dollars just on the interest of that national debt. (I don't know what it is now)

So, what is the solution? Therein lies a big problem. I'm not allowed to tell you! If I did, this thread might disappear. Though it might only get closed down to debate. It might also get me banned. Why? Because this and every other forum are part of the machine that is causing the problem. (Along with all of the other problems) There is another problem as well. I am speaking to dead people. So what's the point. You may not be dead yet. But if you're planning on living past around the year 2050, make other plans.

Slash the military budget, raise taxes on the wealthy and corporations. Then the debt will go down. Without that, we stay the course.

As long as they have the baseline budgeting intact that automatically increases spending the debt will never decrease. Get rid of base line budgeting and force congress to actusally do budgets and stop the useless omnibus bills

Start taxing the wealthy.

The wealthy are taxed the democrats always create loopholes to protect their campaign donors. The wealthy pay most of the taxes while 50% pay no taxes

Get rid of the loopholes and tax wealth not income.

Get rid of the baseline budgeting first. Congress neeeds to do it's job and stop the omnibus crap. Spending will never decrease if those 2 things do not happen. Do you even know what baseline budgeting is?

Did you miss the part of my thread where I talked about cutting government spending down to zero? That included military spending.

Or..... You could try something that would work. Each year they put out a list of corporations that paid no taxes at all for that year. I could tell you the answer. But therein lies a problem. Most people don't want change. Also, they either like the way things are or are purposefully steering us toward destruction. (That last part is no "conspiracy!") If I offered to tell anybody privately through an email what the solution was, Those who don't want change or see armageddon would be the first in line to contact me that way. And they would rat me out. Interesting, isn't it. The "judas goats" control who says what.

I have a couple facts for you. There are many things to make of it. Who knows. Maybe you will make the right thing about it. 97% of the money in circulation in the U.S. is from online transactions. Also, only about 8% of the wealth in the world exists as physical currency.
