Totally. Hitler gets a bad rap for trying to conquer the world, committing genocide and inflicting mass suffering on an unprecedented scale, when the real trouble was in his efforts to educate children about healthy eating habits and the benefits of regular exercise.

The REAL TROUBLE WAS and IS government interference with religious beliefs, parents rights and family....then and now

The real lesson of school it to sit still, do as your told, and follow the rules. Adding healthy eating wont make it any worse than it is, honestly.

Shocking. Michelle supports teaching kids good eating habits from the time they're in elementary school. Did you also notice the program is voluntary? The government isn't forcing anyone to take part.

First righties like you whine about the problem of child obesity, then you whine because Michelle has thrown her support behind a bush voluntary program that addresses the problem. Can you conservatives be any more inconsistent?

Unfortunately, some parents do not know how to raise children. That's why there are child protection agencies and few things are more important than teaching a child to eat properly.

so let me see if I understand this correctly.......the poster who thinks children should be killed before birth so that they won't suffer the hardships of life in foster care thinks that child protective services should be empowered to take children away from parents if they haven't taught them the proper way to eat?........

so is this a proper statement of the hierarchy?......being aborted is better than foster care, foster care is better than being raised by someone who doesn't make you eat all your veggies?.......

Uh, fetuses (or feti) are not "children", and therefore, aborting "feti" is not "killing children, before birth". Just because folks are able to have sex and conceive doesn't mean they are or will be "parents". Many are not equipped , mentally or physically, to be up to the task.

the funny part is, you think that changes something in what I posted......we aren't being progressive enough in taking children away from their parents if they aren't fed properly......what we really need to do is kill them before they suffer obesity ......

First of all there is no child until a birth has taken place just as there is no apple until the seed has grown into a fruit producing tree and bears an apple or there is no chicken until an egg has hatched. Have you ever heard the expression, "Don't count your chickens until they've hatched"?

As for child services taking children should the situation be dire then, yes, they should have the right. Nutritional deficiencies result in diseases. What type of individual would do nothing when confronted with a child being raised in an environment that will result in the child becoming ill? .......Oops, I think that's a rhetorical question. It's the anti-abortionists who insist women should bear children whether or not they wish to do so, however, once the child is born they wash their hands of any further involvement. Once the child has entered the world they care little about the circumstances into which it came. Hunger, abuse, neglect....their attitude is the kid will get over it.

The strange thing about Conservatives is they espouse responsibility, yet, when it comes to children they fall woefully inadequate. If they insist women bear children then it's their responsibility to ensure those children are properly cared for.

The Conservative rants against the mandate for health insurance complaining they shouldn't be forced to pay for something, yet, have no problem trying to force an individual to bear a child which would result in the financial and emotional devotion of 18 years of their life. It's incredible how logic and common sense becomes so elusive.
