We need to ban Narcan so that we can kill off some Trump supporters.
you would be surprised who is overdosing on dope.We need to ban Narcan so that we can kill off some Trump supporters.![]()
It's funny how even drug abuse is a racial issue in the US of A. According to you whites take opoids, yet didn't Michael Jackson die from them? It's due to failed culture of working class white Americans, they can't do anything but sit around, inject heroin, while voting for Trump and complaining about blacks. In fact, all their failures are their own fault, and the fault of their failed culture, but the PC police won't let us talk about that. We're forced to blame minorities rather than pinning the blame right where it lies. They can blame everyone but themselves.

It ain't just a bunch of suburbanites who roll into the cities and cop and OD.

GTFOutta here. They did not cop in the city......they copped in suburbia. The lie from the racist right is they cop in the city from the Blacks.
His post is dead on. White people placing the blame on everyone else.
that's not nitpicking -you are correct that active ingredients are not buffers. good point.
I have a question : how come Oxycontin can be sold without tylenol or aspirin compounds?
I can't think of any other pain pill that is sold in the USA without some combination.
It depends on the addict. Some like it hot -some like it slow released and long term.
their analgesic properties though are minimal to non-existent where narcotics are called for as treatment .Re: your question about combo products there are two thoughts. One is fact based the other is my opinion
Fact: acetominophen and aspirin have their own pain relieving properties through different mechanisms of actions. They are also antipyretic agents. So when combining them with narcotics you get more bang for the buck.
Opinion: I believe that companies used combination to reduce the addiction potential. But that's opinion
Despite all of the bad press, OxyContin was a revolutionary drug for treating chronic pain.

Other counties do not require them..I think it's more political then medical.
The only way they could be used to reduce addiction potential is to prevent administrative abuse of the substance
narcotics are dispensed for moderate to severe pain. NSAIDs/aspirin are ineffective for severe painJust to clear up a few points. They have very good analgesic properties and have a significant role in any pain management regimen.
There is no requirement that they be included in combination with narcotics.

you agree it's a shotgun approach to relief. it's best left to the doc to treat. It all depends on the pathogenesis of the pain. Pain severity is a subjective thing. Extremely subjective. That is why it is so difficult to treat.
Pain is a complex, multifactorial condition that manifests itself in many ways.
I have seen people walk on broken legs and not wince. I have seen people cry in agony over a splinter hurting.
Your generalizations are why pain gets mistreated in this country and why life changing drugs could be rendered inaccessible to the public leading to increased suffering.
Actually Portsmouth Ohio is pretty much where it started as that's where the first pill mills started operating and the heroin followed suit and spread from there though heroin is truly bad in Dayton.I hope you are right, is it true that Dayton is the epicentre of opoid abuse?
