Oklahoma law is clear. The state of Oklahoma does not recognize same-sex marriages, nor does it confer marriage benefits to same-sex couples. The decision reached today allows the National Guard to obey Oklahoma law without violating federal rules or policies. It protects the integrity of our state constitution and sends a message to the federal government that they cannot simply ignore our laws or the will of the people.

Here's an idea...

How about we close all ive military bases in Oklahoma, close all reserve units, and just move all 47,174 to a state where they'll be appreciated?
 
Meanwhile in a lot of states they will not enforce federal laws and deport the illegals.... Guess you and your boyfriend will not be moving to Oklahoma.

I think you forgot to present the specific federal law that Oklahoma is not obeying. Are you sure you are not confusing the Supreme Court's DOMA federalism based decision with something else?

The states are specifically not allowed to enforce the immigration laws.....why should they then be mandated to enforce any other federal law.
Obama just seems to cherry pick what laws not be enforced and which laws he prefers be enforced by the states.....ie, firearms laws.

A troll like Howey should be just be ignored by all of us.

They used alligations of civil rights violations that effectively handcuffed his ability to enforce the laws, both Ariz. and Federal. The case was not ultimately resolved as far as I know...I haven't heard a lot about it recently....but I do remember the Feds saying immigration was the responsibility of the Federal gov. and not the states gov.

I guess when looking for illegal Mexicans he was supposed to question only little old white ladies and not Latinos. You know how that works.

that should make for interesting followups then, especially in regards to federal firearms laws.
