The intelligence of Trump voters

I had a gazillion problems with his speech tonight. But the thing that really stood out was when he said "little Marco" for the ONE THOUSANDTH time. And there was a fairly large group of his supporters who cackled wildly, like it was the funniest thing they had ever heard.

This campaign has been a real eye opener. We have a pretty dumbed-down country. If I sound like some elitist intellectual saying that, I don't really care.

Meh, better than saying Trump has small hands. :palm:

Problem with Trump is, if you go down to his level, he will kick your ass. If you try to stay above that level, he has an uncanny knack for bringing you down to his level.

I hope he wins the GOP. If he does, I am buying months worth of popcorn and beer so I can watch this most entertaining election.

:)

The nation's population has always been pretty dumb and a substantial percentage of those dumb ones are racists. What's unusual is that this year someone has figured out a way to motivate those dumb racists to go to the polls and tear the GOP apart.
For that we thank you Mr. Trump.

No you're not. There has always been a strong anti-intellectual component of our population. Mostly businessmen and the ubber religious. Not to say all businessmen and religious folk are anti-intellectual but usually when you hear anti-intellectual comments those are the sources.

What I find interesting is that most metrics show Hillary having the best odds of winning the general but the polling data shows that Bernie actually does better against Trump or Cruz than Hillary does.

I remember reading that Karen Hughes didn't trust people who read books when she was in the Bush WH.

this idiot racist base of the republican party has always existed.

Reagan won by cheating and embracing these fucking brain dead racists

remember wealfare queens in caddies

Businessmen are anti-intellectual?

Da fvck?

The problem with we dumbasses is, we remember that Marx, Lenin, Stalin, Mao, Obama and yes, even Hitler, were considered geniuses. And consider the voting block Sanders has in his sights: A bunch of young, inexperienced and half-educated(at best)thumb suckers. Hillary would LOVE to get her hands on that group of snot noses instead of the geriatric ex-hippy chicks who seem to think she is one of them.

So he understands how to communicate effectively and that makes him a bad person ?
Roll the clock back 4 years. There's Mitt Romney, obviously smart and accomplished but unable to communicate and he loses to the most beatable incumbent in recent memory.
So you don't care if you come off as elitist but arevyou tired of losing ? Like it or not there are all manner of people in this country and they all get a say.
Time to decide whether you want to win or lose.
I'm tired of losing and the country can't survive 4 more years of donkey Kong.

But do you buy ANYTHING that Trump says? Do you really believe him when he says that we're going to get back to "winning," and that Mexico will pay for the wall, and that we're going to make "such deals" with China and Iran?

He can't do anything he says he's going to do. The Iran deal is done - he keeps saying that he's going to nullify it his 1st day in office, but he can't do that. He can't do anything he says he's going to do, and NONE of his #'s add up (Fox did a great job confronting him on this in the last debate, which he artfully dodged).

He's a fraud, and he's playing his supporters. I understand that people are ticked and that the gov't isn't working, but that doesn't mean this loon is the answer.
