Eh, sounds like a lot of politi-speak to me. Only liked the last three pages. More domestic energy, paying down the debt, etc. Cutting some regs is great its not silver bullet its made out to be. I like the idea of making visas easier to obtain, but I question the logic of not focusing on making Americans qualified for those in demand jobs. That's a much better long term solution.

patent problem: good idea, but this is not really a drain on the economy and is more fluff than action. frivolous lawsuits are already not allowed, i'm not sure what their solution is to decrease frivolous lawsuits.
trade problem: seems the gop and obama agree.
fix tax code: great idea
visa problem: as far as i know, this is not really a problem. getting visa's for skilled labor is easy and companies do this all the time.
fda: yes, this needs to be more efficient, not sure their plan will really fix this though.
rising energy costs: it is hilarious how when gas was this high under bush, the dems blamed bush. but now, obama gets a pass.
reduce national debt: not specific enough, obama could say the thing, or i think he already has, in fact any politician could say this.
good ideas, but would be nice to see more specifics, especially since they produced a "full" plan. they bashed obama for producing similar plans, and yet now are producing the same type of plan.

That's not an answer to the question.
So your position is that cutting taxes, streamlining regulation (FDA), and cutting spending aren't long-standing Republican policies (to be fair, Republicans only care about cutting spending when a Democrat is president)? OK. I'm not too sure anyone with more than half a brain would agree with you there. And streamlining patents was a major Reagan initiative.

the specifics are not identical. care to cite something to back up your assertion? saying it was a major reagan initiative does not prove it has been a gop policy for 30 years. and i said national debt, not cutting spending. but if you want to put words in my mouth, then you're still wrong. pubs have not been that concerned with national debt or spending reduction for the past 30 years, only someone with half a brain can see that. just look at the 2006 and 2008 election results. the right was fed up with the gop and spending.
