Why does the GOP hate the men and women who fight for their freedoms?

Senate GOP block bill that would secure health benefits for veterans who are suffering due to their exposure to toxic burn pits.

Former Daily Show host Jon Stewart stayed on the warpath on Friday in his efforts to get a bill passed that would secure health benefits for veterans who are suffering due to their exposure to toxic burn pits.

To make his case, Stewart went on the conservative Fox News to make a direct plea to its viewers that the legislation was worth passing even as Republican members of the Senate blocked it earlier this week.

During an interview with Fox News' Bill Hemmer, Stewart directly debunked what he described as "misinformation" about the legislation.

"No spending that is not related to veterans has been added to this bill," Stewart began. "No last-minute budget gimmicks have been added to this bill. This bill is purely based on toxic exposure health care and benefits to veterans."

He then encouraged viewers to read the bill at Congress.gov and see for themselves that there is no hidden agenda inside the legislation.

"Hunter Biden didn't sneak in and add unrelated spending in the middle of the night," he said. "This bill is exactly as it was, with the removal of one sentence that had to do with taxation and rural medical facilities!

My wifes Crohn's is almost certainly burn pit related, has removed quality of life, and likely will remove life as well.

You certainly are nasty, my dear.

FF may or may not be nasty, but that doesn't mean it wasn't a valid question.

Why would the GOP, self proclaimed patriots who claim to love this country, NOT VOTE to pass a Bill designed to help the men and women who fight for their freedoms?

She did not ask a question.

Please try to track.

It seems the only things important to Republicans are Embryos, Machine Guns, and making Donald Trump their KING!

I explained this in another thread. This bill creates an open-ended entitlement that will be abused severely just as past ones dealing with things like Agent Orange or PTSD has done. A cottage industry of lawyers and others will grow around the bill to entice veterans with some serious aliment to apply for benefits because they once saw a burn pit--by their personal recollection--being done somewhere in their time in the military.

That's the problem with this bill. It has nothing but good intentions behind it, but it--like those before it--will be executed with utter stupidity and awful results.

Combat vet 'fuming' over lawmakers' failure to pass two bipartisan measures that could have helped millions

U.S. military veteran who would have benefited from two bipartisan measures recently sacked in the House and Senate said lawmakers “spit” in veterans’ faces by rejecting both proposals.

Michael Braman, 45, is one of many veterans left angry and confused after Senate Republicans suddenly tanked a widely supported measure that would have expanded medical coverage for millions of former military members exposed to toxic burn pits during their service.

Supporters of the Sergeant First Class Heath Robinson Honoring Our Promise to Address Comprehensive Toxics Act — or PACT Act — overwhelmingly expected the House-passed bill to sail through to the president’s desk for a signature.

But in a procedural vote Wednesday night, 41 Senate Republicans blocked the bill’s passage, including 25 who had supported it a month ago.

“They’re playing games with our veterans and their families, and that’s cruelty,” Braman said. “Our leaders of our country spit in our face by going back on this bill.”

have you been able to see into the future for very long?

You of course have NO WAY of knowing if the bill will create an entitlement and GOP SENATORS are using that excuse and others to deny our fighting men and women the care they need.

Correctly being able to predict the future is the ultimate proof of education, of correctly understanding the Universe.

I do have the past and similar bills passed for similar reasons as a guide.
