The Fox Effect.....

Let me ask you a question:

I have a swimming pool in my backyard. If I were to replace the chlorine with PCB's and invited the neighborhood kids over for a swim. what do you believe would happen to me?

Let the parents deal with you.

Let me ask you a question:

Suppose I told you that McDonalds food was not healthy for you, that you should stop drinking all soda and that you should exercise at least 30 minutes each day. If you instead ate at McDonalds, drank 3 cans of soda a day and never exercised.... should you and I pay the same for our health care?

No, you should pay less...

Now, are you going to answer my question?

I can think of several things, none that you would find pleasant.

An I could have them arrested if they were guilty of assault.

It is so revealing of your maturity that you hint at adolescent justice. In the grown up world that kind of shit is not without consequences.

The irony here is hilarious, since you, as a liberal, desire big government. Big government elites tell you what to do. If that ain't worship of the elite than nothing is. You must not only swallow but take it up the ass before hand.

Do you believe in consumer protection? Should our food supply be subject to FDA inspection?

I didn't hint at anything. You must be letting your emotions get the better of you once again.

Yet you support the everyone pays the same Obama care approach over individual health care plans....... WHY?

As for your question, if you tell them ahead of time, it is on them. If you do not, it is on you.

I think right now consumers are over protected. For the most part, let the buyer beware. The federal government needs to do what it is constitutionally obligated to do, like enuring a foot is a foot and a pound is a pound. Since there is no FDA in the Constitution, food inspection should be left up to the states unless an amendment is made to create the FDA.

What if the food comes across state lines? Isn't that interstate commerce?

You really think we are over protected huh? Here is what corporate run farming breeds.

Nationwide study finds U.S. meat and poultry is widely contaminated
Multi-drug-resistant Staph found in nearly 1 in 4 samples, review shows

FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. — April 15, 2011 — Drug-resistant strains of Staphylococcus aureus, a bacteria linked to a wide range of human diseases, are present in meat and poultry from U.S. grocery stores at unexpectedly high rates, according to a nationwide study by the Translational Genomics Research Institute (TGen).

Nearly half of the meat and poultry samples — 47 percent — were contaminated with S. aureus, and more than half of those bacteria — 52 percent — were resistant to at least three classes of antibiotics, according to the study published today in the journal Clinical Infectious Diseases.

This is the first national assessment of antibiotic resistant S. aureus in the U.S. food supply. And, DNA testing suggests that the food animals themselves were the major source of contamination.

I think there should be discounts for healthy lifestyles. But everyone should be able to buy affordable health insurance.

Now, my pool is Lake Erie, and I am a corporation dumping PCB's into the lake. Am I responsible for any harm those toxins cause?

It depends on whether you told the parents you had poured PCB's in the pool or not- That is, if you are trying to make this analogous to fast food, and assuming that putting PCB's in a pool is legal.

The Commerce Clause is an enumerated power listed in the United States Constitution (Article I, Section 8, Clause 3)

*shrug*

First, the section of The Constitution which you refer:

The Congress shall have Power To... regulate Commerce with foreign Nations, and among the several States, and with the Indian Tribes;

Second, What I posted about the issue relative to the FDA:

Since there is no FDA in the Constitution, food inspection should be left up to the states unless an amendment is made to create the FDA. [If food crosses state lines,] then states that do that have to have certain standards in effect.

How does it feel to be totally fucking pwned by me on this argument? :)

What part of 'and among the several States' do you need explained?
