The Democrats stupid strategy on promoting election deniers & extremists

For starters, they helped conspiracy believers and even lunatics defeat what were generally more moderate, reasonable Republican candidates. In the hopes that those races would be a slam dunk if they could get the extremist as the opposing candidate.

It is already backfiring - and might have created the biggest threat to both the future of Democrats and the republic with the ascension of Kari Lake. She's like the perfect candidate - charisma, decades of media & message training, seems to understand the psychology of the mob. Instant frontrunner for Trump's running mate in '24, whether she wins or loses.

If Democrats lose some of those races now, they deserve it. It's not an honest way to treat competition. Neither party should try to meddle like that.

It is honest and ethical. But it is a stupid strategy.
 
they didn't learn it in 2016. Trump was given kid glove treatment in the primary as they were convinced him running against Liary rotten would increase her chances.

Republicans have been much more embracing of things like QAnon, Alex Jones, election denial, crazy stories like pizzagate and schools allowing kids to use kitty litter boxes & stuff like that.

Republicans have gone off the rails. They're down the rabbit hole now.

But, I believe that just the notion that DEMOCRATS ARE ACTUALLY VOTING FOR IDIOT REPUBLICANS IN PRIMARIES BECAUSE WE DEMOCRATS, IN GENERAL, WITH THE THINKING THEY ARE EASIER TO DEFEAT IN THE GENERAL, is actually being overblown in the media and may just be a big nothing BURGER!

I know I would never do that! And I don't know of any other TRUE Democrats that would do that either.

But, I do not know every Democrat!

If that is true, we should get a huge bounce on election day! :laugh:

It’s not voting, it’s money. Democrats donated to a handful of MAGA candidates hoping they would win their primary and, in theory, be easier candidates to beat in the general.

OK, so that is one dynamic or trend you hear about!

I have also heard that, in uncontested districts, the Democrats are having to vote for legitimate Republicans instead of the TRUMPTARDED variety of TRUMP-ENDORSED candidates.

Or in districts that are running hard progressives, the Democrats are choosing Legitimate Republicans over them as well.

There are probably 1,000's of different dynamics at play here.

There are both some good well-intentioned Democrats and Republicans running in some districts! RARE BUT DOES EXIST!

We are just going to have to let this thang play itself out.

Both parties have divisions within their own party, that will have some surprising vote counts before this is all said and done.

NO ONE KNOWS DIDLY DICK ABOUT POODILY SQUAT ABOUT WHAT will actually HAPPEN ON ELECTION DAY.

There will be runoffs that won't even happen until late December, and many of the races will be contested and end up having to cycle all the way up through the Supreme Court before we will know who will be in power.

It may be MARCH before we know all the results and who controls Congress.

Donald Trump and his Trumptards do not even know what they started here by rejecting the 2020 election.

The damage has been done- and Congress will be in a CONSTITUTIONAL CRISIS until it is all fanned out!

The media has zilch to do w/ it. A significant portion of Trump's base believe the QAnon stuff. Look at his last rally; look online. People in the GOP actually believed pizzagate. Alex Jones clearly appeals to the MAGA crowd - that's his audience. We've seen actual GOP candidates talk about the litter boxes, and many were onboard w/ the Big Lie about the election.

This is no media fabrication. The GOP is deep in the rabbit hole.

Me. I saw Trump's last rally, where the Q's were out in force and giving their hand sign. I've heard GOP politicians talk about pizzagate. I've heard even more of them - most of them, in fact - cite bogus election denial conspiracy claims and debunked stories and theories. I know who Alex Jones' audience is.

Oh, really? I had thought they were this huge gauge of voter enthusiasm. I've lost count of the # of comments on this board claiming that Biden couldn't have won, because Trump had so many at his rallies.

Moron almost none of the right believe in QAnon that is a figment of the left over active imagination. Saying that a significant part of the base believes is total crap . If you don’t believe me show some proof of what you said. We all will understand if you can’t back up what you said because we know that you are a liar
