New York, July 26 (ANI): James Holmes, who has been accused of killing at least 12 people during the screening of latest Batman film 'The Dark Knight Rises,' at a movie theater in Colorado, the US, wanted to know how the film ended.

"Did you see the movie? How does it end?" the Batman obsessed killer asked the bizarre question to a jail worker on Tuesday.

Holmes repeated the question when the worker ignored him, according to another jail employee who witnessed the incident.

"Holmes was trying to look like he was sincerely curious," the New York Daily News quoted the witness, as saying.

"Like he had no idea why there was anything wrong with what he was saying. It was sick ... I think he's trying real hard to act crazy," the witness added.

The jail worker was stunned by Holmes' callous question about the movie now synonymous with his homicidal rampage.

If what I've seen of him is an act, he deserves an Oscar.

I'm not rooting for this guy .. but he could indeed be crazy .. he could be a real good actor.

Preforming detailed acts and/or intelligence does not necessarily demonstrate sanity.

It is possible, I only put that in the title because of the opinion of the witness in the story.

I do not know if he is crazy. I think either way the journal he sent to the shrink seems to underline that he knew it was wrong to do what he was doing. If so, he'll be tried and convicted. I think he made it difficult for a shrink to determine he didn't understand that now.

This case may hinge on the shrinks. He exhibited strange behavior even before his mindless atrocity.

Crazy or not, the end result must be that he can never freely walk among humans again.
