The Daily injustice report vol. 5

* The Tulsa County Oklahoma Sheriff’s Office Special Operations Team is accused of shooting a deaf man to death in the back as he woke up during a raid on a motorcycle club’s clubhouse in search of drugs that weren’t there. The official version of events appears to contradict autopsy results and there is speculation of a cover up at work. There is currently an investigation underway into the incident.
The 'official' police report says Doza grabbed a gun and pointed it at officers. The autopsy report shows that he was shot seven times in the back of the head and neck, some shots so close that there are powder burns around the bullet entry wounds. propaganda alert is on.

* A New York NY police narcotics detective has been charged with three misdemeanor deprivation of civil rights charges, official misconduct, and harassment charges for sexual misconduct involving three women in custody including one that he ordered to give him oral sex in a precinct bathroom under threats that he would have her children taken from her if she refused. He was charged the same day another NYPD officer’s trial started on similar allegations.
Normally, we call this rape. But since this is one of new yorks 'finest', the charges are naturally misdemeanors instead of felonies.

* A Miami-Dade FL police officer was arrested on allegations that he and his cousin robbed a man of $131,000 during a fake traffic stop in an unmarked cruiser. The victim had just won a bet but the bookie allegedly called the officer to set up the robbery in order to get the money back. The man apparently found another cop immediately after he was robbed and the officer was caught.
$131,000........we'll have to wait and see if he is charged with felony grand larceny or not.

* A Jackson County Georgia deputy was fired on allegations that he had “inappropriate contact” with a 16-year-old girl. Officials say he won’t face any criminal charges in the case, especially since the age of concent there is 16.
hopefully this newly fired officer lost his LEO certifications.

* A Nogales Arizona police officer has been charged with having unspecified sexual conduct with a 16-year-old after an investigation was started in response to a complaint received by the department.
another one. awaiting the nature of the charges.

* The same Detroit Michigan SRT team that performed the raid that resulted in the shooting death of 7-year-old Aiyana Jones is also the subject of another raid-related lawsuit alleging that they needlessly shot two dogs while children were in a home where they served a search warrant and pointed their guns at the children, including one infant.
really? an infant?

* The now-former police chief of Grant Park Illinois was sentenced to 63 months in prison after he pled guilty to wire fraud, false tax return filing, and money laundering charges in a deal that dropped 7 other charges related to his prostitution shake down scam that he ran out of the police department.

* A Norfolk Virginia police officer received a suspended sentence and a $1,000 fine in a plea deal that dropped felony perjury charges for his filing a false report about a drug bust that claimed officers saw drugs out in the open as justification for the bust when they really didn’t.
another pension and career saved from felony charges. at least the victim of their lies had the charges dropped also.

* An Auburn New York police officer was indicted on 10 counts on allegations that he embezzled about $75,000 from his police union when he was treasurer. He has also been indicted on 11 counts for bribery and official misconduct for tipping off a trucking company about roadside inspections… and he was already indicted two months ago on 14 charges including bribery, abusing his position for personal gain, and for trying to bully a local business into forgiving a bill he owed.
notice that they haven't dropped any of the charges on this one, since he actually stole from other police officers.

* The Katy Texas police department, one of their officers and his wife are the subject of a lawsuit filed by a couple alleging assault, false charges, malicious prosecution, and other charges over two different incidents. However, they’re able to sue because they wised up quickly and recorded their interactions the second time around and caught an officer and his wife in a lie when they were falsely charged. The article goes on to state that at some point later, that same officer and backup detained The individual again, asking pointed questions. The complainant was later charged with felony retaliation. After filing a complaint with the Katy PD, the officer in question was naturally cleared of any wrongdoing, based on testimony from the officer that he wasn't even there at the questioning. On followup to the complaint, the complainant requested the dash cam videos of the detainment, which at first Katy PD refused to turn over. Upon an order from the Attorney General, they relented and the videos actually showed the said officer where he testified that he wasn't. Naturally, no disciplinary action has been taken against the lying and corrupt officer.

* A North Las Vegas police officer was sentenced to probation and 6 months of house arrest for sexually harassing at least 5 women during traffic stops.
it used to be that you could trust your police officers....

* A Laredo Texas police officer was arrested on assault and criminal mischief charges for breaking into a home and attacking a person inside. This is classified as a domestic incident but the report didn’t specify the relationship between the officer and his alleged victim.

* A Crestview Florida police officer was suspended without pay after being arrested on charges of possession of narcotics and trafficking hydrocodone.

* A Starke Florida police officer was suspended with pay after being charged with domestic battery over an altercation with his ex-girlfriend where he allegedly shoved her and scratched her hand when he tried to take her cell phone away from her.

* The sheriff of Sioux County Nebraska had resigned after he was denied the chance to get his law enforcement certification from that state due to his being fired or forced to resign from 4 of the last 5 law enforcement agencies that he worked for. He was sheriff for about 8 months without certification.
There is something seriously wrong with allowing cops to simply 'resign' after criminal acts, just so they can get hired on at another agency to continue being a criminal.

* A Louisville Kentucky police officer was suspended for 20days for forging a reciept and lying during an investigation into allegations that she was embezzling money from the police organization she was a part of.
are we shocked? i'm not.
