Thursday was supposed to be the highlight of the year for more than 100 kindergarteners from Stafford County, Va. They got up early and took a chartered bus to the White House for a school field trip. But when they arrived, all the 5-year-olds got was a lesson in disappointment.

Obama Snubs Kids for Steelers?

A group of young students didn't get to tour the White House, and they say it's because of the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Take a look at the best photos of President Obama and his family captured during the first few months in office.

The buses from Conway Elementary arrived at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue a little later than planned, and they were locked out.

"We were going to the White House, but we couldn’t get in so I felt sad," 5-year-old Cameron Stine said.

Parents say they were just 10 minutes late for their scheduled tour. School officials say White House staff said they needed to get ready for the president's event with the Super Bowl champion Pittsburgh Steelers, so they couldn't come in.

It's okay to be grossly late with an incredibly important person as long as you have schoolchildren, I guess.

Let's face it, kids fucking suck. They are the worst atrocity on Earth. They should be put in death camps and only those who survive should have the honor of reaching adulthood. Darwinism in action, bitches. And no fucking meetings with the president. Presidents should be cloned so that they don't ever have to torture other people with their childhood. Only then should they be able to claim the responsibility of leading a nation.

Two sides to every story. I understand this wouldn't be on your radar screen if it happened during the bush administration.

The White House tells a slightly different story. A spokesperson said the group was actually supposed to be there at 9:30, but they held the gates for the group until 10:30, 15 minutes longer than they told the group, but when they still hadn't arrived, they had to draw the line.

 
Seriously, you guys complain about the most trivial stuff. It's really tragic.

A bus of school children show up late to meet with the most important man in the world and suddenly Obama's at fault for not canceling everything else on his agenda.

You guys must seriously be retarded. There's no other explanation.

this is totally fucked up. I'd have turned the kids down as well, so long as I got to have a beer with polamalu. That MFer rocks on the field.
 
You forgot to mention why the Steelers were there.

They were there to meet and spend some time with some injured soldiers from Bethesda and Walter Reed hospitals.

Yeah, I know those damned soldiers injured in the Iraq war should have been told to kiss off so this school group who was already late could be catered to.
 
Oh, and remember the women who wanted to talk to Bush about their dead soldier sons and he couldn't make time for them?

How about the steeler that wouldn't go because obama only wanted to see them because they won the superbowl. He set jocks iq's back a few decades.

No one had to meet Obama or his wife for that matter...it was a tour of the White House.....I've been there at lease 4 times...got the tour every time...never met the residents no matter who they were......

Democrats are pricks to not allow the children get the tour....it has nothing to do with the anointed one....so FU all

James Harrison, the guy who intercepted and returned the ball 100 yards in the Superbowl. He acted like a complete doofus over the WH visit. If the team didn't win the Superbowl they would've been standing in line for tickets like the rest of the tourists.
