Don't you believe in parental rights?
NO, in many cases I do not.
As a parent of two educated adults, I don't believe that Christian conservatives, given their regressive, reactionary values,
should be allowed anywhere near control of
public education.
Their intent is simply much too anachronistically perverse, and totally antithetical to the purpose of education.
Locally elected school committees and local property taxes are the worst possible way to run public schools, but that's our system,
and we're paying for it with our collapsing republic.
Schools should be run by the very most accomplished PhDs in Education that the federal government can assemble for a Department of Education.
At least half the people who procreate in this nation--I would personally guess far more--
don't have a clue how to raise their own children
with most of them not having been qualified to be breeders in the first place.
Putting the backward people in charge of educating kids is a pretty sure way to precipitate dystopia,
and that's what's happening in just about all of Red State America.
We can't reform them.
We must partition from them so that our own kids are not held back by their input into education.
The United States of America, in its/their present form, has itself ,themselves become an unworkable model
thanks to the right wing elements in certain regions of the nation.
We need to partition so that more people can get what they actually want
rather than trying to impose their will on one another.
It couldn't be more obvious that we don't all want the same things.
Only the most hopeless "true believer" will irrationally convince him/herself of that,
and the result of it is perpetual rage.
