Great column by Krugman today. I've long predicted that if the Republicans couldn't defeat Obama for his second term, they will impeach him. So I think that Krugman is right - these guys are terorists, though he doesn't use that word, I will. They're terrorists. He also doesn't mention that they will move to impeach the President, but I think he knows it's coming too.
They got no traction on Fast and Furious so they invented (you heard me) the Benghazi "scandal". I don't know if they'll go to impeach on that because I think the CIA is going to kibosh that real fast - I personally suspect that was a CIA outpost. It was not an embassy it was a "mission". But even if that turns out to be the case, they will simply invent another 'scandal"
But they will impeach him. It should prove interesting, I see 1998 all over again (when the R's got their asses kicked in the midterms and told to STFU about the blow job). But this party is that much more radical than even those nuts, so who knows.
Either way they are no longer a legitimate political party, and they are a danger to our democratic republic. All of this will play out in the middle of ever-increasing weather events, fires, floods, storms,etc, and we will see how much the American people are going to tolerate. This could go a lot of ways.
The Chinese must have cursed us, for surely we live in interesting times.
