Alvin Bragg is officially declaring the US to be a Banana Republic if he goes forward with this. He is saying we are willing to imprison our political opponents to prevent them from running for office. It is shameful that the law is trying to be twisted to make this into a felony charge. Bragg has downgraded 50% off all felony charges presented to his office. He is doing a "gain of function" to change this from a misdemeanor to a felony. And he going back years and artificially links a supposed Federal crime with a supposed state crime just before the statute of limitations runs.

I never thought we would see this day. All kidding aside anyone that is in the least bit happy about this should be ashamed. I just got off the phone with older brother that voted for Biden. He doesn't like Trump and just didn't vote for President in 2016 and that is why he voted Democrat in 2020. He is so disgusted by this he said he will vote Republican this time around even if Trump is the candidate. I suspect this will have results the Democrats won't like in 2024. Personally I decided a while back that I will cast my primary vote for DeSantis because he doesn't have as high of negatives as Trump. I think DeSantis will be more electable to more people like my brother. But this may propel Trump to a victory in a primary because a lot of people won't like this and ultimately Trump will beat this. This will turn people off of Democrats.
