Shaken, not stirred!
Well, another dodge by the gun flunkies regarding Uvalde, Texas mass shooting just got a shot in the arm. Fox Noise types, republican senators and congressmen along with the Murdoch press all parroting the insanity that the main reason the shooter was able to commit his crime was a back door left unlocked by the school personnel.
That was not exactly the case:
Texas authorities say a teacher closed a propped-open door before the attack
An exterior door at Robb Elementary School did not lock when it was closed by a teacher shortly before a gunman used it to get inside and kill 19 students and two teachers, leaving investigators searching to determine why, state police said Tuesday.
State police initially said a teacher had propped the door open shortly before Salvador Ramos, 18, entered the school in Uvalde, Texas, on May 24.
They have now determined that the teacher, who has not been identified, propped the door open with a rock, but then removed the rock and closed the door when she realized there was a shooter on campus, said Travis Considine, chief communications officer for the Texas Department of Public Safety. But, Considine said, the door did not lock.
"We did verify she closed the door. The door did not lock. We know that much and now investigators are looking into why it did not lock," Considine said.

So it was a FAULTY LOCK MECHANISM and NOT carelessness on the part of school personnel that left the back door open.
- Again, there is no guarantee that the shooter would have not found another way into the school if that door had automatically locked as it should have.
- Again, the weapons he used that day were formally banned on the 1994 AWB list ... something the GOP voted against re-instating.
- Again, Gov. Abbott pushed to lower the legal age of gun ownership from 21 to 18.
- Again, Gov. Abbott pushed to defund the budget for mental health facilities.
But I'm sure our resident gun flunkies will ignore all this and just double down on their mantras. And so it goes.
