Shaken, not stirred!
I just watched Cheeto Jeezus being interviewed on 60 Minutes. During the course of questions and predictable hubris, falsehoods and revisionist clap trap that spewed from his maw, the Orange Oaf stated alluded to cutting off federal funding to New York City should Mamdani win the race for mayor. His "reasoning" is that Mamdani is a communist (which he isn't, as proven 6 ways to Sunday) and that sending any federal funding there would be a waste.
Dump said he doesn't like Cuomo (who was an ardent critic of Dump when he was governor of New York), but he'd rather have him than Mamdani.
CATCH THAT, AMERICA. THE POTUS HAS DECLARED THAT IF HE DOESN'T LIKE THE POLITICS OF A LEGALLY ELECTED OFFICIAL OF A STATE, HE WILL EFFECTIVELY SANCTION THAT STATE WITHOUT DUE CAUSE. IN OTHER WORDS, YOU THE VOTER HAVE NO SAY IN YOUR LOCAL LEADERSHIP UNLESS YOU RISK VINDICTIVE PUNISHMENT FROM THE FEDERAL GOV'T.
Now, if that is not the actions of a dictator, or authoritarian or fascist or a king, then what is? Can someone spell out where in Constitutional law can this be done without consent of Congress? I'll wait.
