It's interesting, you have others arguing Mamdani winning had nothing to do with Trump but it looks like you're saying it was a referendum on Trump.
We'll see how it plays out, but the irony there could be a case of winning the battle but losing the war electing Mamdani.

Both sides are making the elections much bigger than they were, that is politics, and if anything was on the ballot it was the economy, not the actual state of the economy, but the way people view the economy as it effects them, same factor that got Trump elected
Blue States in an off year with an incumbent President, predictable
The only real races of significance were the three Judges in Pennsylvania, all elected Democrats, which could become important with Pennsylvania being a swing State and the trend to litigate everything

It's interesting, when Chris Christie won Obama was President and when Younkin won in VA Biden was President. That backs your point about the off year election with a President from the other party.
If I was a Democrat I'd certainly be excited about last night's results. You are also very correct though, a year is a long way away.

But yes, even in Blue States, where you see Trump won flipped a district and won it and now it has flipped back by a huge margin to Dem's you should be shocked or concerned. Trump won a very thin victory based on these 'narrowly won flipped districts', something a smarted person understand the value of.

And again the ones society holds responsible is the Magats in power and also the POTUS as Trump himself continues to point out, and no amount of you saying 'Trump is wrong... I know better ' will change that.
