Tesla vs Volt

I see that you still like to spew bullshit when you have nothing to say. Find me one link that talks about subsidizing the Tesla so poor people can buy one.

Look if you are going to try to engage in conversation with me, it would help if you weren't so fucking stupid and improved your reading comprehension. In no way did I say that libtards like you were presently doing it. Go back and read my post again you dumb fuck. I wrote it in the future tense as in making a prediction. Now how the fuck can I find a link to prove a prediction? Are you really that stupid? Tell me water head are you really that stupid? I want to know. Are you?

The comment was stupid bullshit to begin with. No one is suggesting subsidies to make luxury cars available for the poor. Your comment was simply nonsense and antagonistic.

Although it was not surprising, considering the source.

BTW Tesla got themselves a nice $450 million subsidy from Unca Sam. How bout that? Of course the CEO says that subsidies are bad, but took it anyway. He said they didn't need it, but took it anyway. <wink> <wink> It is like Warren Buffett saying "tax me more". And of course idiots suck it up like pablum

Considering the technological advances that Tesla Motors has already accomplished, the subsidies will prove to be worth their weight in gold as the future of automotive engineering moves away from non-renewable resources. And significant reduction in our addiction to fossil fuels will be a plus in many, many ways.

I dunno, electric cars don't make a lot of sense unless we come up with with viable alternatives for generating electricity. They do make more sense out west where a lot of electricity is generated by hdyro but not in the east where coal is the primary source.

Mott, we already have excess capacity in that we use most of our electricity during the day, while electric cars are mostly charged at night. Charging electric cars helps balance the load, and eventually all the car batteries become part of the smart grid.

Yea, actually they were. They were little cigar boxes on wheels and god help you if you got in an accident. They were fairly reliable and fuel efficient but grossly unsafe by today's standards and getting parts was difficult as they had to be ordered and shipped and parts cost substantially more than on their American counterparts. That changed as they developed the cars for the American market and American roads and actually started building plants here but that didn't happen till the early 80's.

LOL... most autos from back then were unsafe by TODAYS standards...

true, but those cars are actually well designed. They are not tiny little over priced pieces of shit.

They were tiny little pieces of shit. How many do you see on the roads today compared with American cars of the 60s and 70s?

Yes. With MASSIVE subsidies from the government. Was FRS bitching then?

I notice that you didn't disagree that Japan essentially punishe it's citizenry. Thanks for your concession

The Japanese punished it's citizens? How? Did they force them to buy their cars? They bought their cars because a. The cars fit on their roads and had the tiny engines required by the government, and b. Japanese import tariffs made it fucking impossible for anyone else to sell cars in that country.

Soon the libtards will be squealing for subsidies because it isn't fair that the po folk can't afford them

Actually, the rich folks buying them already get a subsidy.

As they will with the Volt and other electric cars. With whom they're sharing the technologies.

LOL... most autos from back then were unsafe by TODAYS standards...

And they were a third the size of American cars which made them even more unsafe.

The volt is a tiny piece of overpriced shit. Is it the over priced part you think is a 'lie' or is it my opinion that they are a piece of shit that you think is a lie?

I'll wager if someone bought you one, you'd keep it and brag about it.

Added: Looks like Tesla's got some problems too.
