Teen Whipped In Infamous Viral Video Murdered

A teen was caught boasting about his gang connections on Facebook by his uncle. His uncle beat the Hell out of him with a belt and the teen posted video of it on facebook. The mom thought she had control of the situation and was pissed at the kid's uncle. People across the country wanted the uncle prosecuted for abuse. Then the teen was shot and killed. I wonder who was right?

This whipping occurred before the dad beating his daughter in Houston came out. We can debate the appropriate measures a parent/relative should take in a situation like this but it's obvious the Uncle here cared. Sad situation.

His uncle disciplined him for being gay, er, involved in a gang. Poet, er, the kid didn't pay attention then got beat-up and killed by AIDS, er, the gang.

Kid thought he was hard enough to be in a gang, but couldn't take a family beating? Sorry but that don't make sense to me.

I dunno though. I got my ass kicked a time or two as a kid. Was good for me. Every situation is different, but people and legislators try to make a one size fits all policy with everything, and in this and many other instances it doesn't work.

gangs are a curse on the world, not just our nation

As well as the distrust and hatred of outsiders, the basic asertion that if the gang does it its fine, the group think mentality, the resentment of authority and law, the agression against other gangs and the violence over territory.

Not to mention the guns, drugs and sex(2 out of three are generally bad)
 
Guns when they're pointed at me are bad, as for drugs, ehh that's a legal issue and generally the problems that come from selling drugs end in shoot outs with police and innocent bystanders getting killed
 

That was less than what I got for walking in the cattails and getting my shoes muddy when I was 5...

Wow. That went viral?
