A Texas school district said Tuesday it fired a teacher who deployed a high-pitched noise to punish the class with a piercing sound that one student described as “torture.”

The teacher played a “dog whistle” YouTube video during one period of class at Leland Edge Middle School in Nevada, Texas, on March 2, Community Independent School District told The Post.

The teacher, who has not been named, had been under investigation since a student informed the district police department about the noise the same day it was played in the classroom.

The teacher used the noise as a form of punishment, one parent told KXAS.

“I would understand if the teacher used it for a split second to gain the attention of the class but not for the excess of 40 minutes. Not when kids are begging you to stop,” parent Janice Lohrs told KXAS.

The school district had urged parents and students with knowledge of the incident to provide information through an anonymous tip line.

The district confirmed the teacher was fired and said it was “possible” that the former employee would face criminal charges.

Teacher arrested, accused of blaring music during testing

A Port Orange middle school art teacher was arrested Tuesday after blaring music on campus during FSA testing, according to police.

Officers said they responded to a disturbance at Creekside Middle School, located at 6801 Airport Road, around 12:08 p.m.

Martin Reese, a teacher at the school, was accused of playing loud music in an effort to disrupt FSA testing, investigators said.

Reese also posted his behavior on social media, saying he thought the students were “stressed out” and wanted to give them the chance to take the test again.

According to police, Reese refused to turn the music down and caused a disturbance as he was escorted to the principal’s office, prompting the school to go on lockdown.

Teacher accused of ‘always making sexual jokes’ arrested for lewd conduct, battery

A teacher has been placed on administrative leave after being accused of inappropriate behavior with multiple students.

Raymond Webb, 41, has been arrested and now facing a felony charge of lewd conduct by an authority figure as well as a misdemeanor battery charge following allegations from two students.

"It made me angry because you don't expect that. You expect these administrators and teachers to provide care," parent Pete Antoniou said.

According to the arrest affidavit, a 17-year-old female student told police about an incident on March 28 when she says Webb slapped her on her butt.

The affidavit says two witnesses ''reported they saw the defendant slap the victim on the butt with an open hand." The same victim told police Webb is "always making sexual jokes in the classroom."

In the same affidavit, a second female victim told police about an incident in the classroom when she says Webb "put her into a chokehold."

According to the affidavit, Webb "approached the victim and turned her around so her back was facing him", then "placed his arm around the victim's neck and put her into a choke-hold."

The victim told police she had "a difficult time breathing".

Several witnesses told police the victim looked "very scared and confused".

When reached by phone, Webb told FOX 13 he had "no comment".

According to Pasco County Schools, Webb has been with the district since 2006.

Teacher arrested for sexual assault involving 15-year-old student

A teacher with the Texarkana, Arkansas, School District has been arrested on four counts of sexual assault involving a 15-year-old female student.

Edward Jasiel Hernandez, 25, was arrested Wednesday and booked into the Miller County jail.

Bond has not been set.

Hernandez allegedly had sex with the girl in his car and in his classroom on the campus.

He allegedly supplied the girl with vaping equipment, alcohol, marijuana and Plan B birth control, according to probable cause documents.

Hermamdez faces six to 30 years on each of the four counts of sexual assault if found guilty.

Teacher arrested for sexual relationship with student

Sarah Noel Suggs, an English teacher, is charged with sexual assault of a child under 17 years of age.

According to the charging document, the incident happened inside a vehicle parked on the victim's residential street. Three days after the incident, the student's parents met with administrators to inform them of disturbing information they found on their son's cell phone.

The 15-year-old victim, a student at Langham Creek High School, had disturbing information which was provided by the victim's parents.

The victim had text messages with someone identified as S. Suggs.

After cross-referencing the messages, the teen's mother discovered that S. Suggs was Sarah Suggs, whom she knew to be her son's English teacher.

The victim admitted to his mother that he had sexual contact with Suggs inside her vehicle in a cul-de-sac down the street from his house. The 15-year-old also told his mother that they kissed each other, he had hickeys on his neck from Suggs, and he received oral sex from her as well.

The teen's mother had screenshots of explicit texts from Suggs and a picture of her son that showed hickeys on both sides of his neck.

During an interview with CFISD human resources, the teen said things began on "Remind 101" shortly after he transferred into Suggs' English class.

Remind 101 is a way for teachers to communicate online with students and their parents. The victim stated that they exchanged cell phone numbers and began texting one another after hours. The messages then moved to social media specifically Snapchat, where Suggs sent the victim explicit videos of herself.

Teacher arrested for child porn; plans appeal to Affirmative Action Jackson

A Hillsborough County school teacher is facing child pornography charges after allegedly uploading images to his email account.

Deputies have arrested Stephen Robb, 69, a fifth-grade teacher in Valrico, after finding the child porn images while following up on two cyber tips from the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children.

Detectives say Robb also had images of a current student, fully clothed, in his classroom.

"It's sickening to know this man who was entrusted to educate and care for our young children, was exploiting children online at the same time," said Sheriff Chad Chronister. "His disgusting behavior will not be tolerated in Hillsborough County."

Robb has been charged with six counts of possession of child pornography.

Tteacher arrested for sexual exploitation of a minor

A first-year math teacher at Eagle Grove High School was arrested today for sex crimes against a minor in Dubuque.

Benjamin James Hanson, 30, is charged with one count of sexual exploitation of a minor involving photos, and one count of enticing a minor under 16 for sexual purposes.

The Dubuque Police Department is investigating the alleged crimes.

According to Eagle Grove Community School District Superintendent Jess Tolliver, Hanson is no longer employed by the district.

Teacher charged with multiple sexual crimes

Online court records show that 29-year-old Zachary Douglas, of Utica, is jailed without bond pending an April 7 hearing on 11 felony and seven misdemeanor counts.

The charges were filed in two batches over the past two weeks.

They include sexual contact with a student, statutory sodomy and furnishing pornographic material.

Court documents allege Douglas, who taught science at Braymer High School, sent nude photos and videos to some of his students, WDAF reports.

A female student told a forensic interviewer that Douglas touched her or tried to touch her inappropriately on a bus twice. The student said Douglas also called her numerous times into his office, where he would touch her inappropriately.

She also said she received multiple nude photos from Douglas from his Snapchat account, court records say.

Teacher faces new charges for alleged relationship with student

A Riverside high school teacher, who was arrested earlier this year, is now facing additional charges in Linn County for allegedly having an inappropriate relationship with a student.

Court documents say 41-year-old Justin Rapier, who was a teacher at Highland High School in Washington County, has been charged with two counts of sexual exploitation by a school employee.

The documents say the Highland High School student allegedly went to Rapier’s home in Cedar Rapids for sex on two occasions, once in August 2019 and again before she graduated.
