Tinfoil, as much as you enjoy slapping the libs, this tax should piss you off too. This is another example of the gov't overstepping its bounds and trying to bleed the taxpayer.
Rather than continuing with a childish taunts, perhaps you could actually post this as another invasion on our paychecks and bank accounts.

This tax makes sense. Here in WA, road maintenance/projects are funded by gasoline tax revenue. If people start driving electric cars, they're essentially driving on the roads for free. As a conservative, I am opposed to government handouts. Simple as that.
And $100 is more than fair. Most WA drivers probably pay twice that amount in gasoline taxes every year.
That said... if they think this is going to cover the deficit, they are delusional.
