victim blaming purely sucks, but what about target hardening...and what is it?

I'f you'd like I can go looking, but it would be hard to prove that there is a lower reported percentage of male rapes to female rapes because. .. they're not reported.

Target hardening is the act of the individual to prevent crime happening to them. It can involve moving to a different neighborhood, locking doors, getting a security system, telling people you have a gun(just getting one doesn't deter if nobody knows), avoid certain parts of town at night... It's the effort of an individual not to be the victim. Doesn't actually prevent crime unless everyone does it, which they don't.

I did not mean to make light of male rape. I don't think men are slut shamed, but you're right, they are shamed into believing their masculinity was compromised.

Years ago I remember being completely shocked about the rape and assault of Abner Louima, and how those mf'er cops lied about their brutality in the face of all evidence to the contrary.
