Sotomayor Reversed AGAIN!!!

Bonestorm

Thrillhouse
The Ricci (New Haven firefighter) case was decided this morning by the Supreme Court and the Court overturned the per curium opinion that Sotomayor was a part of by a 5-4 decision breaking along the standard ideological lines.

Shockingly, the "conservatives" on the Court disagree with Sotomayor. Also shockingly, the "liberals" agree with Sotomayor. What does this tell us about the Sotomayor nomination? Nothing at all.

The opinion has not yet been released but I will post a link when it is.

Being reversed does not in and of itself make you a bad judge! Especally being reversed by the supreme court based on ideological grounds.

Um, I never said it was the only objection you ignorant shit. And it was a joke.

Good god, you're insufferable.
It wasn't a very good joke.

Wouldn't taht be a sweet gig though? For life. Did you know that FDR was the last person to nominate somebody that wasn't a Lawyer for that position?

Empathy is fine in the law, as long as it doesn't drive your decision. I've felt bad for people before, although the decision by the court was correct.

I'm glad that in this case I didn't have to feel bad for them and the court made a good decision at the same time.

What's the basis for your assessment of the Court's decision as "good?"

Quite obviously you base your assessment on what you think is the "right" or "fair" outcome, but it's this type of result-driven approach that people like you are supposed to despise.

Right. Proof that you don't read the post other than the portions you expect and want to see, it helps to build the strawmen arguments that hold you persona together and give you "reason" to be what you are. Can you show me people that argued that the results of the tests should be thrown out and tell me who were making those arguments?

It wasn't "people like me", if you need a hint. Rejecting racism as a basis of false racial justice is a good thing.

Or you could just answer the fucking question.

Or you could read my answer.

Can you show me people that argued that the results of the tests should be thrown out and tell me who were making those arguments?

It wasn't "people like me", if you need a hint. Rejecting racism as a basis of false racial justice is a good thing and a good decision.

I want to know what magic world you live in that "people like me" think that racial injustice will be fixed by more racial injustice?

It was good because the city acted wrongly.

Again, you could just tell my why you think it was a "good" decision instead of doing your little dance. Why do you think it was a good decision? It's a simple question.

And by "people like you" I was referring to "conservatives." You claim to be one, right?
