some of that government efficiency in action

prison inmates receive stimulus checks

The federal government mistakenly sent out stimulus checks to 1,700 inmates, the Social Security Administration said Tuesday -- a $425,000 error.

Social Security spokesman Dan Moraski told FOXNews.com in a written statement that the money went out because official records "did not accurately reflect that they were in prison."

Big Gov supporters, how can you stand huge mistake after huge mistake and still feel the need to have so much government regulation and intrusion in to your lives?

I have one even better. A teacher in Alabama was busted for using text messages and emails to try and seduce a 14 year old boy.

She was convicted and sent to prison for 10 years. And of course she was fired. But she is appealing her firing. So until the appeals are completed, this sick bitch is drawing a salary of $51,000 per year from the Education Dept.

Sent to prison for trying to seduce a 14 year old boy, and she still draws her salary as a teacher.

government employee is the best fricking job around. Where else could one be a cop, threaten another citizen with a gun, get suspended for a year while they 'investigate' and still draw pay?

How many mistakes does the private sector make? Just a few weeks back, a couple got a half million mistake in their bank account (I think they're still on the lam).

That said, I'm not a big fan of gov't "intrusion." Regulation, on the other hand, is the gov't's proper role, and something that I am glad they are involved in on a variety of issues.

that private sector mistake, did they learn from losing that money?

the government never does because it doesn't cost them, it costs you and I.

that is the difference.
