some interesting statistics regarding religion in the u s of a

I wonder how many of the "Buddhists" are college kids trying to "be one with nature" and "at harmony with the world". It's similar to being a 90% vegetarian, no morals just want to feel superior.

Oh, and I like my steak and don't care if meat is murder. It's tasty murder.

I have noticed this as well....
Evangelical protestant congregations continued to grow, though slowly, to 50 million adherents.

I also noted that my denomination was listed as "Mainline-Other" which will probably disappoint those who wanted me classified as a fundamentalist....

the United Methodist Church lost 4 percent to 9.9 million adherents, the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America lost 18 percent to 4.2 million, and the Episcopal Church lost 15 percent of its adherents to 1.95 million.

Wishy-washy liberal churches aren't doing so hot.

Personally, I think all religion is a crutch for weak minds. But if you're going to believe in the Bible, believe the whole thing. Liberal Christianity is a copout.

I couldn't understand your groans but I sure understand this.
