So Heath Shuler comes out and says Pelosi and Reid have been failures with the stimulus package and Reid's guy comes out and says Shuler threw more interceptions than touchdowns in his career. Maybe people from JPP really do work in Washington?

after obamas little town hall meeting today, they should be trash talking him. he let the cat out of the bag big time by openly declaring that most of this 'stimulus' is actually going to be used to take care of big problems that have been around for decades. change we can believe in, baby.

No. I understand what he said. I just don't understand what your problem is with what he said.

again, not surprised since he's a democrat.

so lets go at it this way.

is this 'stimulus' supposed to be a package to fix the economy issues that we are experiencing today?

Yes.

Are you attempting to claim that spending on problems that have existed for a while is not "stimulus?" If so, are you really this stupid or are you playing the dull one?

i'm not attempting to claim, I AM claiming that spending billions on supposed problems that have existed for decades is NOT stimulus, it's pure pork barrel projects that the dems have wanted for 'decades' but have been unable to get until their prophecies of doom and gloom. same old dems, same old spend and tax party. typical partisan hack from the 'libs' everywhere, your own stupid ass included.

Unless you detail what is pork and what is stimulus, you are just slamming Obama out of spite.

There are plenty of ways that money spent as stimulus could be applied to problems that are decades old, and still not be pork.

The infrastructure projects for roads, bridges, powerline upgrades and more come to mind.

If he used these as stimulus projects, he would both be stimulating the economy AND attacking problems that are decades old.

He would also be staying with his "change we can believe in" propaganda.

It is supposed to fix the economy by providing jobs. Jobs that will lead to lower unemployment. Jobs that will also fix things that oh I dont know... need fixing or that will have good long term benefits (such as alt energy, infrastructure etc...)

While I agree that some of the projects were pork, many of those have supposedly been removed. That said, spending on problems that have existed for decades is still stimulus. Stimulus that will also have long term benefits.

We have to spend money rebuilding our infrastructure. Why not do it now while the unemployment rate is high?

thats it for sure. all this time i've been a liberal hating republican stooge masquerading as a libertarian.

So no actual argument, just petty accusations of bias?

And would I slam republicans for doing the same with Bush?

Is what I said liberal devotion or reality?

You attempted to make it sound as though any money spent on problems that were decades old was, by definition, pork.

I think my example of places to spend money that would not be pork, and yet would solve problems that were decades old, was valid.
