If the 99% can be legislated into poverty, they'll work almost as cheaply as the Indian and Chinese workers Mitt Romney's Bain Capital helped to take American jobs, won't they?

The minimum wage was originally meant to be for those newly entering the workforce. There's no need to keep jacking it up so high. Thanks to brain dead socialists, employers could be getting fucked..... again.

Really? Can you provide a source for that assertion?
"Federal minimum wage sets an economic price floor for labor within the United States,"

The "price floor" can also mean "entry level". Admittedly, I used a poor choice of words in "newly entering". The point is, there's no reason to keep hiking up minimum wage.

Do the costs of living only rise for the rich?
Dumb question. The idea is to find stability in whatever you do, and leave minimum wage to the newbs.

Wow. What a heartwarming show of compassion!

Even the Republican candidate favors raising minimum wage and tying it in with inflation.

Republican presidential contender Mitt Romney renewed his support Wednesday for automatic increases in the federal minimum wage to keep pace with inflation, a position sharply at odds with traditional GOP business allies, conservatives and the party's senior lawmakers.

"I haven't changed my thoughts on that," the former Massachusetts governor told reporters aboard his chartered campaign plane, referring to a stand he has held for a decade.
