....And I'm astonished at the picture she paints of the Trump family. Trump's father, Fred Trump, was a manipulative, abusive sociopath who left deep scars in all his children. I'm not justifying Trump's stupidity now, but I understand him in a new light. He's a stunted human being who was never nurtured the way a child ought to be. Fred Trump was a true monster and he really screwed up his kids. The book offers much insight into Trump's destructive, self-defeating behavior.

Is anyone else reading it? What are your thoughts? There is a lot of truly awful stuff to ponder in this book and I haven't even finished it yet.

It might be an interesting read but I have to be skeptical about how accurate it is. My instinct tells me it's a lot of speculation.
My nieces wouldn't have a clue about analyzing me.

Fred Trump was a criminal. His story is easily available. Life time crook, like Donald.

I read it, none of it surprised me, but I’ve read articles about the Trump’s since the 1980’s, so the book just reinforced everything I’d read.

Trump’s statement about his brother makes a lot more sense, now.

I think the whole family probably regrets his being president.

Always suspicious of tell all books, and keep in mind she also is a Trump

Fred Trump had established himself as a foul human being as far back as the 1940's & 50's.

The great American trubador Woody Guthrie, author of the classic song "This Land Is Your Land" and father of Arlo Guthrie, wrote this song in which Fred Trump is prominently mentioned....

The niece is a professional psychologist, give her due credit .

I wiki'd "Mary Trump". Lotsa family conflict there. But if the book is entertaining to you I have no argument. Enjoy!
I'm immersed in "The Principles of Correct Practice for the Guitar" and rereading (over and over for it to sink in) 'No Bull' Music Theory for Guitarists: Master the Essential Knowledge all Guitarists Need to Know".
