I am on the verge of losing sight in my right eye. I've been wearing a patch for the last 2 years in the hopes of strengthening my right eye to no avail. I am diabete and its just part of the suffering I must endure as a result. This notion of having ppl attack me, is just insane, so I wish you all well.....I will not back, I'm signing off for good. The insults on here are really sad. There are some posters who do nothing else.

It has been said that for humanity to survive well into the future, we'll need to be a better version of ourselves. We all really need to try that, even on the smallest scale. I'd love it if this could be a board for legit debate again, and respectful disagreement.

Many years ago there was a group of us who had some level of civil discourse, but not much. There was less outright name calling and we had a set of facts we mostly agreed upon.

There was a huge group that would not give up on the insistence that Saddam had WMD, but they mostly left and changed their names. They did some time on Obamas Birth Certificate. They are back as election deniers.

Those who simply stood for conservative economic policies have all disappeared for the most part.
 
A2K hit the skids at around 2010. I was at DP starting I think 2015....it was already shit by then. When was JPP good?

There was a lot less overt racism and open fascism back then. Republican posters back then I do not believe would have cheered the storming of the Capitol or cheered for overturning elections they didn't like losing.

I wonder if Dixie ever realized invading Iraq was a dumbass idea?

Dixie couldn't admit the love of his life, George Dumbya, made a mistake so his defence of the Iraq war became more shrill and nonsensical as time went on.

There was even a rightwing tale that France helped Saddam hide the WMD in Syria... to make Dumbya look bad I guess?

I remember. There is a very good comparison between Dixie and the Trumppers, I have avoided discussing Dixie out of respect, but it is amazing how he was a prototype Trumpper, just before his time and focused on Dumba instead of Twamp.
