Norristown, Pennsylvania (CNN) More than a decade after he was first accused of sexual misconduct, Bill Cosby will go to trial. A Pennsylvania judge found enough evidence during a hearing Tuesday to proceed with a criminal trial. It's not clear when his trial will start.

Cosby faces three counts of felony aggravated indecent assault from a 2004 case involving Andrea Constand, an employee at his alma mater, Temple University. She was the first of more than 50 women who have accused Cosby of sexual misconduct. If convicted, Cosby faces up to 30 years in prison. Cosby's defense attorney slammed the decision to move forward with a trial...

...The parties reached a civil settlement in 2006, but the case was reopened as new evidencecame to light, including a number of other accusers coming forward and some of Cosby's remarks during a 2005 deposition that were recently unsealed. Steele, the newly elected district attorney, turned the Cosby case into an election issue. He promptly reopened it after taking office.

Cosby was charged with three felonies and arraigned in December, then released on $1 million bond. Cosby has denied the allegations. He sued Constand in February, claiming she violated terms of the 2006 settlement.

I never did, I thought the show was cheesy!

You may not have but millions did. And to many black people who had never seen an educated professional well to do black family represented on TV before the Cosby's were heroes.

When he was America's dad in the '80's? The same time liberals loved him.

It was?

On 17 May 2004, at an NAACP event commemorating the 50th anniversary of Brown vs. Board of Education, the landmark Supreme Court decision that struck down school segregation, entertainer Bill Cosby gave a speech on the theme of blacks in America taking responsibility for their own lives.

In July 2004, he again took to the public soapbox to expound upon his thesis. In a speech given at Rev. Jesse Jackson's Rainbow Coalition/PUSH Coalition conference in Chicago, he said: "You've got to stop beating up your women because you can't find a job, because you didn't want to get an education and now you're (earning) minimum wage. You should have thought more of yourself when you were in high school, when you had an opportunity."

In December 2004, he addressed a panel at Medgar Evers College in Brooklyn, telling them: "Stop waiting for a leader. Get Up! Tell your friends. And if they can't get up, we must see about them because they are true victims ... It's time to study four hours a day with your children. Teach them how much they'll be worth when they have A's instead of F's."

I frankly don't buy that Rana didn't like that show, I think she is indulging in a little revisionism.

There are several things that just don't sit right about this case. It was previously looked at in 2005 I believe and thrown out due to lack of evidence. In 2006 she received an undisclosed sum from Cosby. She also reputedly saw him several times after the alleged incident including going to Canada to see his stage show. Is that the behaviour of someone who was digitally penetrated or fingered to use the more common term against her will, I would like to know? Call me old fashioned but I still believe in omnia praesumuntur legitime facta donec probetur in contrarium. He may well be guilty but it just seems a little odd to me.

Remember when conservatives loved Bill Cosby?

I recall when everybody loved him.
Then he alienated blacks by pointing out the nature of their woes. Then the left joined in. And so they looked for ways to punish him for being honest.
And here we are.

Are you claiming that the Cos is the victim of a vast left wing conspiracy?
