Six American allies say they are ready to help with Strait of Hormuz

(The Center Square) – Foreign allies appear to be backpedaling on their refusal to help the U.S. secure the Strait of Hormuz, as President Donald Trump has expressed his frustration with the international community for not stepping up.

In a joint statement from France, Germany, Italy, Japan, the Netherlands and the United Kingdom, the nations condemned Iranian attacks against commercial vessels in and around the Persian Gulf, as well as “civilian infrastructure including oil and gas installations,” leading to the closure of the vital commercial strait.

“We express our deep concern about the escalating conflict. We call on Iran to cease immediately its threats, laying of mines, drone and missile attacks and other attempts to block the Strait to commercial shipping, and to comply with UN Security Council Resolution 2817,” the joint statement read.

We don't need to help them. Let's see if their navies can maintain the Strait that they benefit from.

Saying is one thing.

Following through is another.

I want our Navy protecting US interests, not those of virtue-signalling Euros who grandstanded last week.

Let them keep the Strait open to shipping, or, if they fail, let them rely on wind farms and solar panels.

We have plenty of oil and gas right here at home.

We don't need the Straight of Hormuz; they are utterly dependent on it, therefor they should be doing the heavy lifting there.
They can't. They have no ability to handle the electronic warfare that is being waged here.
All they can do is assist, which is what Trump is asking them to do.

Asking Europe to defend it's own interests is completely sensible, but they can't do it by themselves.

I think Trump realizes that oil feeding China while Europe destabilizes is probably bad for Europe.

We have plenty of biden's failed wind farms and solar panels here in America to send to the Euros.
