Silicon Valley’s golden age fades as Big Tech layoffs continue

Now, tens of thousands of layoffs from Google, Microsoft, Amazon, Facebook and dozens of other companies have made it clear: The golden age is over.

I would argue that we are entering a new golden age from a darker age(not quite a dark age). Things have been too static in Silicon Valley, with too many large companies hogging all the resources. This will allow smaller companies to get resources, and innovate.

This has happened several times before, the first time is when Fairchild Semiconductor became abusive and pushed out employees. Fairchild's layoffs literally created Silicon Valley.
