Should red states be reduced to territorial status, like Puerto Rico?

Since red states are basically third world hellholes, yet demand total control over our politics and all the money of the blue states that are the economic engine of this great country? Why don't we just take away their statehood and reduce them to territories? Until a point at which they are developed and civilized enough to deserve statehood. Giving statehood to uncivilized hellholes like Mississippi was a mistake to begin with.

Yet you don't mind the savages in the only district in my state, a blue one, that has a greater than 20% food stamp usage getting financial help they don't deserve. By the way, that district was specifically gerrymandered to create a majority minority population. Strange how so many of those districts with a majority minority have greater than 20% food stamp usage. 2 in NC, 1 in SC, 2 in GA, 1 in Alabama, etc.
