I say hell yes.

Fuck China, they do not dictate where our officials visit.

We need to assert ourselves in countries that are friendly to us.

I am very happy with Pelosi standing up to China, next I think Biden should do a state visit.

Last time I looked- We don't take orders or listen to threats made from China, Russia, or North Korea!

This reminds me of a scene out of the Good, Bad, and Ugly movie.....

On principle I 100% support the U.S. backing Taiwan over China. As for this particular trip I haven’t paid close enough attention to know the specifics for it.

I’m willing to bet most of the responses are driven by the people involved more than the act.

Not that China has forbidden her to go, I support her trip. I have no idea about the trip before they did that.

YEA NANCY!

Communist China needs to be sent a subtle message that if they invade Taiwan, they are going to get the Ukraine treatment --> a smaller nation with western backing, bleeding a world military superpower and fighting it a deadlock.

she has no reason to go so I cant see spending the money for her shopping trip.

That's a great point. Why does ANYONE in Congress do international trips? Their job is to legislate. It's the Executives job to deal with international issues and the border.

You're brand new to politics, eh?

Congress appropriates money for economic and military assistance to foreign countries, and they have a right and an obligation to oversee the process.
