Should government tell parents how to raise their children?

Governor DeSantis is "investigating" the Broward Center for the Performing Arts for allowing a touring performance of drag queens to perform at their venue. The advertisement said, 18 and up, unless accompanied by parents.

Gov. says the equated to "marketing to children."

Do you think the government should tell private Enterprise what type of artistic performances they can put on?

Do you think the government should tell parents what type of art they can expose their children to? If so, who gets to decide?

A definite NO! Parents may do a good or bad job of raising their kids, government will absolutely fuck them up for generations to come. Even worse, letting radical Leftists have a shot at it.

I grew up watching British humor on PBS, and Benny Hill and Monty Python was all about men dressing up in drag, and I grew up a normal heterosexual, didn't make me want to dress up like a woman or become gay.

WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH THESE REPUBLICAN HATE-MONGERING IDIOTS?

But you aren't normal. BTW did the Brits twirk at you?

no.......parents should be smart enough not to take their children to drag shows without the government taking action.........

Did you enjoy Mrs. Doubtfire? Wasn't it sort of a Children's movie? How about the Boondock Saints? Tony Curtis and Jack Lemmon in Some like It Hot? And who didn't like Bosom Buddies? Rocky Horror Picture Show? White Chicks? Tango and Cash?

There were 100's of movies and TV Prime Time shows of men and women in Drag- even the Lucy Show, that were funny as hell and no one were all that concerned about the children watching them!

But suddenly it's all taboo and we must protect the children down in Florida because this idiot governor that came out in white Go-Go boots in a press conference says so! Hilarious!

Sexualizing children is wrong dumbass. It's truly sad you need someone to tell you this.

I used to think he was a troll but he's too fucking stupid to be a good troll, or a good lawyer for that matter.

Well, I sure wouldn't hire him as a defense lawyer (not even a last will attorney), that's for sure!

DeSantis's rants about LGBTQ are not Christian, but as both Governor and the fact State provides a large portion of funding for public schools, he does have a responsibility to protect children and ensure money is properly spent.

That said, the fact the show was effectively rated "R" with "18 and up, unless accompanied by parents" means DeSantis is simply politicizing this for his own personal gain.
