Iranian Weapons Arm Iraqi Militia

U.S. officials say they have found smoking-gun evidence of Iranian support for terrorists in Iraq: brand-new weapons fresh from Iranian factories. According to a senior defense official, coalition forces have recently seized Iranian-made weapons and munitions that bear manufacturing dates in 2006.

This suggests, say the sources, that the material is going directly from Iranian factories to Shia militias, rather than taking a roundabout path through the black market. "There is no way this could be done without (Iranian) government approval," says a senior official.

Iranian-made munitions found in Iraq include advanced IEDs designed to pierce armor and anti-tank weapons. U.S. intelligence believes the weapons have been supplied to Iraq's growing Shia militias from Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps, which is also believed to be training Iraqi militia fighters in Iran.
Evidence is mounting, too, that the most powerful militia in Iraq, Moktada al-Sadr's Mahdi army, is receiving training support from the Iranian-backed terrorists of Hezbollah.

See, this is what scares me. Russia, China, and Iran all are inextricably linked. Iran gives oil to Russia, who doesn't need it and goes and sells it to international markets to keep their government afloat, China gets a lot of oil from Russia to bolster their empire. North Korea is irrelevant because he is a loner.

The real axis of evil is right there. You go bombing Iran, you wait and see how long it takes Putin to hit us back either by supplying arms to our enemies or directly. WWIII anyone? China, Russia, and several islamic countries on one side, and our over stretched military right where they need to be for a perfect defeat before we can pull them out.

You get an idiot like you into office, and I don't expect our country to be around much longer. I wouldn't touch Iran with a 10-foot-bayonet.

I agree that attacking individuals without permission is different from attacking individuals with permission but neither is akin to "invasion" or attacking the country itself.

Really? So if someone started dropping bombs in your neighborhood, you wouldn't think you were being invaded? You don't think the US would take it that way?

I completely disagree with you on that.

Why should we attack an iranian paramilitary group that hasn't attacked us?

Do you realize the US government designates dozens of groups around the planet, as terrorist organizations?

We've deemed the basque separtists, and the tamil tigers as terrorist organizations....does that give us liscence to bomb Spain and Sri lankan hideouts of those groups?

Don't be ridiculous
That wasn't the hypothetical, it was specifically what if we bombed the people we are after that actually harmed us in Iran. But you are so disingenuous in your "points" that you can't even "comprehend" the question correctly and keep asking an inane question that has nothing to do with it.

I never used the term "limited forays" you douche. What you should have learned is that when we are talking about an ally and we are talking about targeting specific individuals in tribal areas, attacking specific individuals in an ally country is not an attack on the country itself and would not be construed as an invasion of that country by any reasonable person anywhere.

It's not that difficult a concept.
And you still haven't answered my question, so I guess you are in spin mode. The reality is you are supporting one person who would attack people in a nation against their expressed permission and call it good, while another person who says the same thing is a "warmonger". Then you take a stupid joke that clearly shouldn't have been told and turn it into an expressed wish to bomb another one, even though he waved it off and answered with more than restraint and not even one wish to invade, and call them a "warmonger" again.

I have asked for evidence of his wish to bomb Iran, nobody has given me any except when he is asked a hypothetical like mine, like Obama's answer but he is the "warmonger" while Obama is a godlike figure of peace and harmlessness who is only defending us from evil.
