Senator Clinton Well Could beat McCain...

I belive she really could beat McCain, I dont think it would be a cake walk, or a 49 state victory... but she could win, in fact would be more likely to win.

She would invigorate the Democratic base as much as she would invigorate the Republican base against her.

The Democrats would have a canidate they were enthuastic about which is always better than a canidate they hate. eee the 2004 election if you do not belive that.

The Democrats hated Bush, but did not love Kerry. Bush won!

The Republicans hate Sen. Clinton, but do not love McCain.. Who wins?

I am hoping to vote for Obama. Senator Clinton would be my second choice. I will not vote for someone who wants more of the same in Iraq.
 
i think that obama pulls allot of the financial conservative pub leaning group. I think this guy will be far more likely to say no to tax and spend democratic politics then you all think.

Hillary on the other hand stands no chance to pull financial conservatives versus a spend thrift like mccain. His only financial downfall is his addiction to war.
 
Well, this whole time I've said that McCain would whoop Hill's a$$, but I didn't realize there would be this huge McCain backlash in the conservative circles. Also given that he's done much better in liberal states where he's going to get creamed anyway, that does open the door for Hillary a bit more if McCain wins.

Republicans will get over their hesitations about McCain in 2 seconds if Hillary is the nominee.

The R Party will go into full-swing "Stop the Bitch" Mode.

I don't think it will be that easy if Hillary gets the nod. A few weeks ago I would have said hands down with little effort he would have beaten her, but I really didn't see the conservative backlash coming.

I tend to agree with Epi that in the end their hatred for Hillary would be enough to drive them to the polls.

There aren't that many of them and certainly not enough of them to overwhelm the antiBush, anticonservative sentiment in this country.

All the haters together don't amount to much, except on the radio.

McCain is begging the democrats to take public financing.

Please, continue to believe that. Spread the word among the left/Dems... McCain is easy... no need to worry. Just ignore those polls that say it is going to be close.

Obama will certainly be the tougher for McCain to beat, but he is most definitely not unbeatable.

McCain will be EASY .. everyone knows that.

McCain is too damn old and isn't liked by many within his own party. He'll have to drift further to the right to appease them .. AND he's a warmonger in a time of rising antiwar sentiments.
 
The warmongering thing, as we have discussed before, is a figment of your imagination. A fear mongering tactic the left uses to try to demean McCain. Constantly attempting to twist his words so that you can continue to believe that fairy tale.

Yes, his age is a factor and many Reps do not believe he is conservative enough. But put up Hillary and find out just how quickly that will not matter. Put up Obama and you have a more valid point. Many on the RR side of the party may stay home.

But you are delusional if you think Obama can win with ease. NONE of the polls support that claim. This is not to say Obama cannot beat McCain, but it will be much closer than you seem to think.

As for McCain drifting. Once the nomination is official, he will have little reason to shift to the right. Especially if it is Obama he is going up against. McCain will want to appeal to the moderates and Independents. Shifting to the right will assure they go to Obama.

The RR will come around and reluctantly support him. What option do they have? A President Clinton they do not want. A President Obama... probably won't worry them as much, but they are still unlikely to vote Obama over McCain.

i agree its a bit old with the mccain war monger tactic. that will wear out quick. its definitely fairy tail to a certain extent.

That being said i will vote obama over mccain.. but would take my chances with mccain over hillary for certain.

Like I said, continue spreading the word on how easy a win it will be for the Dems. I encourage that whole heartedly.

Limbaugh is an idiot. Always has been, always will be. What does that say about your agreeing with his opinion?

The fat bastard is just pissed because his faction is becoming less and less relevant.
