Sen. Feinstein (D): Protesters can't 'Occupy' forever

I haven't heard occupiers are looking for communism or to ditch capitalism.
The few I've heard are looking for systemic change eliminating the tilt in favor of the 1 percenters.

It really depends on which ones are talking, I've heard both. However the vast majority that can actually express why they are there believe that "capitalism has failed", many espouse getting rid of currency altogether and say it will make us "less likely to take advantage" of the situation into which we were born. That those "bankers might be chefs if they had a choice"...

It was interesting hanging with the dudes in Civic Park here in Denver to see what they had to say.

The people who would stop by to protest were different than the people I call "occupiers", those were the ones in the tents and they had ideas that were different than the ones that stopped by to participate...

Many of the people you are talking about are TEA Partiers that come by... Some of the ideas are compatible, and some are not.

The only Teabaggers left are the ones that are in D.C. doing the dirty work for the Koch brothers and their chinese communist partners.

I hope that you are aware that a "flash grenade" or stun grenade is not the same as a true grenade.
There is no shrapnel.

I also heard that they had no idea how the first protestor was injured and then try to equate a stun grenade to that of a lethal weapon and then while carrying off what appears to be a second protestor, the guy says "He's been shot" without any idea of how the second protestor was hurt.

Anyway, your fundamental premise of my "totalitarianism" support of removing the unoccupied occupiers is entirely your own imagination.

And yes, they still haven't met the numbers of the TEA Party protests, even with "worldwide" support.

LOL! Here's a partial list of Occupy sites around the world. I can see why your side is so afraid of this movement.

Time to teabag the openwiders... It's nice of them to gather in a central location for easier bagging...

;)

I was thinking that maybe they should issue those wild animal nets, that are used to capture live game.
The larger ones are probably big enough to get 3 or 4 protestors at a time.

Black-Bagged
Government paid thugs throw a black bag over your head and kidnapp you whilst beating the piss out of you and making you disappear for ever. (as in V for Vendetta)

Sounds like something you conservatives and your hero Cheney would approve of.
Here's something you can disagree with too.

The First Amendment (Amendment I) to the United States Constitution is part of the Bill of Rights. The amendment prohibits the making of any law respecting an establishment of religion, impeding the free exercise of religion, abridging the freedom of speech, infringing on the freedom of the press, interfering with the right to peaceably assemble or prohibiting the petitioning for a governmental redress of grievances.

Totalitarianism suites you.

Probbed:
What aliens from outer space do to you; after then capture you, beam you into their ship, and begin preforming tests on you.

Sounds like something you believe has happened to you.

Aren't you going to complain that your first amendment rights were violated, along with your body?

Their "freedom" stops, when it begins to impinge on the freedom of others.
By the way; I was unaware that throwing rocks and bottles was a sign of a peaceful demonstration.

Lol! talk about being out of touch with reality! Occupiers are there because there are no jobs! Many college grads who have to move back in with their parents. That's one of the many reasons people are identifying with the Occupy movement.

Surprise, surprise: Thanks to a high unemployment rate for new grads, many of those with diplomas fresh off the press are making a return to Mom and Dad's place. In fact, according to a poll conducted by consulting firm Twentysomething Inc., some 85% of graduates will soon remember what Mom's cooking tastes like.

Not equal to the Teabagg numbers? out of touch again...

Occupy Wall Street Spreads Worldwide
OCT 17, 2011 | 269
The Occupy Wall Street movement continues to grow and has now spread across the world, motivating thousands to voice their anger at financial and social inequality, and in some places merging with existing anti-government protests. On Saturday, a global "Day of Rage" was observed, and demonstrations took place in more than 80 countries around the world. Protesters took their messages and anger to the streets from Hong Kong to Fairbanks, from Miami to London, from Berlin to Sydney, and hundreds more cities large and small. The demonstrations were largely peaceful -- with the exception of some violent clashes in Rome. Collected here are some images from the past several days as the Occupy Wall Street message continues to resonate and grow. [50 photos]
http://www.theatlantic.com/infocus/2011/10/occupy-wall-street-spreads-worldwide/100171/

One thing is for sure... many former teabaggers have joined the occupy movement.

"We liberals like to contend that the Tea Party started out as what they claim to be and were bought by Freedomworks and the Koch brothers, but there's a fallacy in that theory. People have minds, and they have the ability to agree with some of the things their leaders say or do and not with others.

Agreeing that the people who robbed the nation and collapsed the world economy should be held to account does not make a Tea Party member pro-abortion or pro-gay marriage. It doesn't mean that they have turned their backs on their other political beliefs. It simply means that they believe in the rule of law and even the rich must bow to it's authority. It means that they agree with Thomas Jefferson when he said;

"I hope we shall crush in its birth the aristocracy of our monied
corporations which dare already to challenge our government to a trial
by strength, and bid defiance to the laws of our country." -- Thomas Jefferson, 1816

The papers must be losing money then also.
What with all those help wanted adds disappearing, seeing as how there are no jobs.

I noticed that North Korea wasn't in that list.
Who gives a fuck about who or why they're protesting in Europe or anywhere else overseas; seeing as how there protesting their loss of entitlements.

At the end of the day what's the movement going to accomplish crash? Is it just a matter of making other people aware or will some actual fundamental changes come about in our system?

think about it... liberals truly believe "awareness" does something.

Well, usually, they are trying to make people aware of a potential problem and in some instances awareness can make a difference. But this OWS crowd thinks telling people some arbitrary statistic designed to foster class envy amounts to providing awareness. It's ridiculous
