Sen. Feinstein (D): Protesters can't 'Occupy' forever

Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.) expressed a cautious view of the Occupy Wall Street movement on Wednesday, seemingly giving voice to a growing uncertainty on the left that the ongoing protests are going anywhere.

“There are all kinds of different agendas going on [and it is] hard to figure out what people want,” Feinstein said Wednesday, according to the Los Angeles Times.

"I don't think" the protesters have the right to "Occupy forever," she added. "I don’t think people, for example, can sleep in a square for weeks on end. You have to have some order to it."

Here is a liberal democrat and even she cannot figure out what the OWS people want. But she does know that she wants them the hell out

The only Teabaggers left are the ones that are in D.C. doing the dirty work for the Koch brothers and their chinese communist partners.

Time to teabag the openwiders... It's nice of them to gather in a central location for easier bagging...

;)

Don't know what that idiotic word means but yes I agree with the Occupy movement world wide. I've been calling for a world wide worker strike for years. If we are in a global economy we need a global workers union to protect labor from the conservative ideology that has created the economic disparity that now exists.

I'm not sure how you would go about getting about 2 or 3 billion global workers into a group of world wide unions but I must admit it would be interesting to see.

Black-Bagged
Government paid thugs throw a black bag over your head and kidnapp you whilst beating the piss out of you and making you disappear for ever. (as in V for Vendetta)

Sounds like something you conservatives and your hero Cheney would approve of.
Here's something you can disagree with too.

The First Amendment (Amendment I) to the United States Constitution is part of the Bill of Rights. The amendment prohibits the making of any law respecting an establishment of religion, impeding the free exercise of religion, abridging the freedom of speech, infringing on the freedom of the press, interfering with the right to peaceably assemble or prohibiting the petitioning for a governmental redress of grievances.

Totalitarianism suites you.

Wut? I say let them stay. I'm good with them centralizing. I like the personal dedication to an ideal and the personal donations that get it done rather than government subsidies.

Require them to do the same things as the TEA Party did (get some porta-potties for instance), but otherwise I'm good with them sitting around and not going after the jobs that the doers want.

I just think the TEA Parties should join them and show them how it is done. They still haven't gotten the numbers equivalent to the TEA Party's first weekend, but they'll get there over time. Have fun, sing songs, drum drums... I'm going to work and we'll see you on the weekend.

ironic now, that the liberals are bitching about some restrictions and infringements of a right that has a legal wording of 'shall make no law', but seem perfectly ok with limitations on 'shall not be infringed'.

Lol! talk about being out of touch with reality! Occupiers are there because there are no jobs! Many college grads who have to move back in with their parents. That's one of the many reasons people are identifying with the Occupy movement.

Surprise, surprise: Thanks to a high unemployment rate for new grads, many of those with diplomas fresh off the press are making a return to Mom and Dad's place. In fact, according to a poll conducted by consulting firm Twentysomething Inc., some 85% of graduates will soon remember what Mom's cooking tastes like.

Not equal to the Teabagg numbers? out of touch again...

Occupy Wall Street Spreads Worldwide
OCT 17, 2011 | 269
The Occupy Wall Street movement continues to grow and has now spread across the world, motivating thousands to voice their anger at financial and social inequality, and in some places merging with existing anti-government protests. On Saturday, a global "Day of Rage" was observed, and demonstrations took place in more than 80 countries around the world. Protesters took their messages and anger to the streets from Hong Kong to Fairbanks, from Miami to London, from Berlin to Sydney, and hundreds more cities large and small. The demonstrations were largely peaceful -- with the exception of some violent clashes in Rome. Collected here are some images from the past several days as the Occupy Wall Street message continues to resonate and grow. [50 photos]

One thing is for sure... many former teabaggers have joined the occupy movement.

"We liberals like to contend that the Tea Party started out as what they claim to be and were bought by Freedomworks and the Koch brothers, but there's a fallacy in that theory. People have minds, and they have the ability to agree with some of the things their leaders say or do and not with others.

Agreeing that the people who robbed the nation and collapsed the world economy should be held to account does not make a Tea Party member pro-abortion or pro-gay marriage. It doesn't mean that they have turned their backs on their other political beliefs. It simply means that they believe in the rule of law and even the rich must bow to it's authority. It means that they agree with Thomas Jefferson when he said;

"I hope we shall crush in its birth the aristocracy of our monied
corporations which dare already to challenge our government to a trial
by strength, and bid defiance to the laws of our country." -- Thomas Jefferson, 1816

Anyway, your fundamental premise of my "totalitarianism" support of removing the unoccupied occupiers is entirely your own imagination.

And yes, they still haven't met the numbers of the TEA Party protests, even with "worldwide" support.

They aren't going to convince America to give up and become Communistic. It isn't going to happen, even if they build permanent structures in the park.

That the TEA Partiers are joining in doesn't change the fundamental idea, time for the TEA Party to bag the openwiders. As I said... we'll go to our jobs, and see you on the weekend....

I haven't heard occupiers are looking for communism or to ditch capitalism.
The few I've heard are looking for systemic change eliminating the tilt in favor of the 1 percenters.
