Jefferson County Public Schools (JCPS) has opted not to sign a civil rights compliance form from the U.S. Department of Education (DOE) directly relating to Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) programs, WHAS11 learned on Friday.
The certification form called for districts to acknowledge DEI policies are illegal and that having them in schools jeopardizes federal funding and risks legal action from the U.S. Department of Justice.
