Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia, who for the past forty-seven years has served as a weekend scoutmaster for the Boy Scouts of America, angrily resigned from that position yesterday, effective immediately.

Justice Scalia quit his post in a terse resignation letter that read, in part:

“Some of the happiest memories of my adult life have been as a scoutmaster. Huddling under blankets around the campfire, and so forth. But now, all of that has been ruined. Ruined.”


Shortly after sending the letter, Justice Scalia destroyed his scoutmaster uniform in the blazing fireplace of his Supreme Court office.

Later, he went across the hall to share his decision with his close confidant on the Court, Justice Clarence Thomas, telling him, “There’s nowhere I feel safe anymore, Clarence. The military? The N.B.A.? Nowhere. I guess the only place I still feel safe is the Supreme Court. This is still a safe place, isn’t it?”

Justice Thomas said nothing in reply.

But the prospect of obama getting a third appointment

Jabba has been one of the worst justices in the history of the court. Even when he rules correctly it is for the wrong reasons.

I'm no fan of Obama, but I'd love to see him get a third. Scalia's the hateful, ultra-conservative appointee of a man who sponsored genocides and used his power against the workers and poor - so I suppose we really can't wind up with someone any worse. :p
 
A nigga used to weight to weigh 210 but is now bushing 220 after 3 full days of drinking. Damn being fat sucks.
 
lol, this has been a strange experience.....I saw the title of Howie's thread but since I have him on ignore I couldn't read it......I'm sitting here googling news and finding nothing, wondering wtf he's on about......

Knee jerk reasons.

Other things, like his views on the commerce clause? His rulings on the ACA and Raich and his references to the NLRB v Jones & Laughlin Steel in both proves that he is nothing more than a hack that makes it up as he goes. The only real precedent he has created is for blatantly obvious partisanship.
