The court ruled 5-4 in favor of the 4th amendment and against drug sniffing dogs being used to give probable cause for home invasions. Scalia, for once, Thomas, Kagan, Sotomayor and Ginsburg got it right. Alito, Roberts, Breyer and Kennedy were wrong.
I don't understand Kennedy and find he has been consistently disappointing on these sorts of cases. Conservatives have argued that libertarians should support the GOP for the court but we once again see the Bush appointees, Roberts and Alito, ruling in favor of big government.
