Santa Fe voters laid out the welcome mat Tuesday for a tax on high-end home sales to fund various affordable housing initiatives in a city where the median price of a home is out of reach for a large segment of its residents.
The ballot measure, which creates a dedicated revenue source for the city’s Affordable Housing Trust Fund, was passing with about 73% of the vote, according to unofficial results.
